The union of authenticity and innovation finds in
maximalism a fertile ground for
architecture and interior design projects. Leaving aside simplicity and valuing
creativity , this style has increasingly taken center stage in the hottest interior design projects of the moment.
From CASACOR, architect
Karolinna Venturi explains that a project gains more identity when it highlights human value, rather than an architectural style. “My projects are for people who seek to go beyond,” explains the architect. “I like to
welcome ideas and provide a
journey into the details , unveiling and revealing the essence of each place, escaping from convention and
maximizing the client’s personality .”

The American architect Robert Venturi is a key figure in this style. Going against the grain of minimalism, he coined the phrase “less is bore” , contrasting with the famous “less is more”, associated with the minimalist style. But the concept goes beyond just playing with exaggeration. Maximalism has gained strength with concepts of exclusivity , from the creation of personalized spaces that reflect the personalities of the residents. Therefore, the more references a client has, the more interesting it becomes for the professional to explore the possibilities of the project. “
Maximum architecture suits a client who travels, who has diverse references and wants a
personal touch ,” explains Karolinna.

Creativity is the key word here. Based on the client's references, professionals in the field can bet on creativity and mix other style characteristics. Think about colors, textures, materials, vintage and modern items, unusual compositions – but of course, always with a lot of
visual harmony . “More than just spaces that shelter us,
our homes are reflections of our desires, tastes and references . If we have a strong personality, why can’t our homes be an expansion of that?”
