After many seasons dominated by minimalistic aesthetics, maximalism is back in the spotlight of interior design – now, with a new perspective and even more strength! At CASACOR Pernambuco 2025, the trend manifests in projects that celebrate creative freedom, a mix of references, and the dialogue between art, culture, and affection. In the exhibition, maximalism presents itself as a statement of identity, where unexpected combinations prevail in spaces that tell stories.

The Pernambucan exhibition translates this movement through a rich aesthetic in patterns, bold finishes, and intense palettes, which broaden the sensory perception of visitors. Ceramic panels gain prominence as artistic and sculptural pieces, while the so-called “urban forests” incorporate nature into daily life. The result is a tropical and vibrant synthesis of the new maximalism — an aesthetic that invites full expression. Check it out!

Wood in motion

(Walter Dias/CASACOR)

It is impossible to look away from the large wooden panel that runs through the project of Loja ADEPE, titled Under the Pernambucan Mantle. Among curves and passages, the textures intertwine like layers of a living territory, revealing a sensory maximalism that exalts craftsmanship and the richness of forms. Here, the wood shapes reliefs to display, welcome, and pulse the best of Pernambuco's identity craftsmanship, in an ode to matter, memory, and meaning.

Art in three dimensions

The Electrolux Apartment proves that maximalism goes far beyond colors — it also manifests in the richness of textures and the overlapping of elements. The project, with double ceiling height and preserved original details, has as its focal point the three-dimensional work of visual artist Beth Cyrne, titled Semear o Sonho, Agradecer o Existir. The sculptural panel fills the space with movement and depth, creating an atmosphere where art, memory, and contemporaneity intertwine in perfect harmony.

Maximalism from walls to details

A mix of colors, patterns, textures, and art: the Cozinha Viva Deca is the strongest translation of maximalism in the exhibition. The project recovers in architecture the richness of details faded over time, in an exuberant composition. The proposal unites the erudite and the popular, the sophisticated and the intuitive, in a creative coexistence that reflects the Brazilian plurality. On the walls, the highlight is the artistic intervention of Bruna Emery, who transforms the architecture into a living canvas.

Tropicalism that embraces

An orange wall and a tropical screen completely redefine the atmosphere of the Living Brávia, where maximalism expresses itself through color and emotion. The project, which integrates living room and kitchen, proves that the boldness of mixes of colors and patterns can exist with harmony. Here, the sensory design of the walls and objects translates a way of living that invites coexistence, inspiration, and belonging, in a home that celebrates the "more is more" with delicacy.

Indoor forest

Atmosphera Plants & Landscaping - Refuge of the Soul. Project of CASACOR Pernambuco 2025.

(Walter Dias/CASACOR)

The concept of urban forest reaches its maximum expression in the Refuge of the Soul, where natural maximalism takes shape among trees, foliage, and organic textures. The internal landscaping creates a living and pulsating project where the green intertwines with architectural lines and proposes a complete immersion in nature. Nature and construction complement each other, revealing that maximalism can also be a way of peace, contemplation, and reconnection.

Ceramics and legacy

Diogo Viana - Francisco Brennand Ceramic Workshop Store. The Francisco Brennand Workshop Store is an immersion into the essence of the work of artist and ceramist Francisco Brennand. The project stands out for the selection of a color palette that reflects his artistic legacy. The technical lighting was designed to highlight the displayed products, celebrating the ceramics. The shelves are an example of the integration between design and functionality. Highlighting the imposing ceramic panel signed by Brennand in 1968 and the furniture, signed by Ramsés Marçal, which complement the projects.

(Walter Dias/CASACOR)

In the Francisco Brennand Ceramic Workshop Store, maximalism reveals itself through matter and memory. Everything in the store refers to the legacy of artist and ceramist Francisco Brennand, whose work inspires the projects from the color palette to the textures. The chosen palette reflects the symbolic universe of the Pernambucan master, while his imposing ceramic panel from 1968 adds movement and expressiveness to the walls, transforming the space into a tactile and visual tribute to Recife's art.

Visual games and geometry

The concept store Gustavo Eyewear translates contemporary maximalism through form and geometry. The project starts from the premise that glasses are artifacts of identity to imprint, in its architecture, a sensory experience. Diagonal cuts, tensioned volumes, and angled mirrors provoke the gaze and multiply perspectives. The result is an engaging project that invites the visitor to see — and be seen — under new layers, in a true exercise of visual excesses and meanings.
