Natural textures evoke
well-being , bring back
fond memories and help us relax. Connected with the theme of
CASACOR 2024 , which is "
As a gift, the present ",
natural materials appear in many of the projects created by architects, interior designers and landscapers in the exhibitions throughout Brazil. And there is no shortage of
creativity with which they use stones, wood, fabrics, leather and other elements produced from raw materials found in nature. See more in our selection below!
1. Eastern atmosphere
Márcio Corrêa created a contemporary interpretation of a traditional Japanese lodging, called
ryokan , for
CASACOR Brasília . With 77 m², the space invites contemplation through a strong connection with nature. To create this atmosphere, the professional used soft colors and graphic elements, as well as natural materials, such as
wood and
fabrics . Highlights include the installation of
bamboo right at the entrance, stone-shaped furniture and the floor and ceiling covered in certified wood.
2. The strength of materials
The simplicity of form meets the complexity of nature in this project designed by
Ana Luiza Araujo and
Bruna Araujo for
CASACOR Minas Gerais . From the timeless elegance of the
stones installed on the walls and design elements, to the presence of
wood in the flooring and furniture, there are layers of well-being and elegance.
3. Stone and wood
The project by architects
Luciano Pena and
Vinícius Alano at
CASACOR Brasília integrates several spaces in 170 m². Huge skylights allow the concrete slab to be exposed, in addition to bringing in natural light. Highlights include the
wooden bookcase and large slabs of green
granite , which add layers of natural textures to the space.
4. Focus on the headboard
(Carolina Mossin/CASACOR)
Designed by
Thauana Kairala and
João Victor Santanna at
CASACOR Ribeirão Preto , this suite displays a timeless aesthetic, permeated by natural materials. The combination of Navona travertine
marble and
wood brings sophistication to the project, which also highlights the neutral colors and the play of textures. The headboard adorned with a stone slab with irregular edges is a highlight. “It is part of our personality to suggest timeless elements, using materials that are loved in all eras and cultures. The goal is to present an environment admired by all ages,” they explain.
5. Natural mix
Created by
Rysc Arquitetura at
CASACOR Brasília , this 120.80 m² gourmet space features a fully equipped kitchen in a cozy living room, with a wine cellar and landscaping integrated into the balcony.
Wood , natural
stones ,
fabrics and nautical ropes mark the project, which features works by Brasília-based photographic artist Plinio Ricardo.
7. Climate of well-being
The minimalist approach translates into clean lines that reinforce the efficiency of the design in the project created by
Rodrigo Moura and
Daniela Jabour at
CASACOR Minas Gerais . Without excess, each architectural element is carefully considered to create an atmosphere that invites contemplation and lingering. The elegance of the environment is enhanced by the subtle integration of natural materials, such as
wood and
stone , adding soft textures that provide a pleasant tactile sensation.
8. Tribute to manual making

9. Relaxation oasis
Bárbara Antunes has created a peaceful and welcoming retreat for

10. Affective memories activated
(Carolina Mossin/CASACOR)
Designed by
Bruno Ortega , this space at
CASACOR Ribeirão Preto evokes the warmth of a rain shower. For the professional, the integration of natural elements in architecture is essential to offer refuge in the midst of contemporary life. This integration also appears in the use of
stone on the walls, which brings a rustic feel. As counterpoints,
marble and dark
wood provide elegance.
