After participating in CASACOR Santa Catarina in 2017 , Marcelo Salum from Santa Catarina debuts at CASACOR São Paulo 2018 paying homage to the capital of São Paulo with the Loft “Something happens in my heart” , a 60 m² multipurpose space filled with works of art and embroidered fabrics. with excerpts of songs by Chico Buarque and Caetano Veloso. “We are asking permission to enter this great and powerful metropolis,” he explains. Referring to the urban landscape, shades of gray predominate in the project's palette, and green marks half of the walls and ceiling. To take advantage of the original architecture, Salum incorporated the existing staircase and personalized it with an installation by visual artist Juliano Aguiar. , made up of 15 different pieces, including reliquaries, paintings and personal objects. The kitchen is marked by a large and versatile table, which serves as a dining space and also as a workstation. In the living room, a green corner brings nature into the space, while two single beds delimit the resting area.
