7 ideas for warming your home in winter with blankets and rugs
The coldest season of the year is already upon us and, with it, comes the search for ways to heat the house without having to spend a lot on it . That's where blankets and rugs come in – simple elements that provide an extra layer of coverage on cold surfaces and offer protection against the cold on sofas and beds. But that's not all: investing in blankets and rugs is also a great solution for those who want to make their home cozy and inviting . Check out 7 ideas for warming up your home with blankets and rugs below!
espaço ser alex bonilha

(Evelyn Muller/CASACOR)

In a home focused on introspection and reconnecting with oneself, Alex Bonilha opted for warm fabrics on all surfaces. The long modular sofa, for example, received blankets and cushion covers in similar tones, made from natural materials, such as linen. The large blue rug not only adds texture to the decor, but also delimits the living area , which here has been integrated into the hall. Entitled Espaço Ser , the project that was part of CASACOR São Paulo 2019 also invests in yet another reinforcement to protect the home from winter: the large black MDF panel that runs along the entire left side of the composition.
la vie en rose tapete casacor inverno

(Cristiano Bauce/CASACOR)

Andrea Magalhães' living room for CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2019 combines two distinct, and seemingly opposite, styles: modern and romantic. La Vie en Rose proves that winter doesn't need to be associated with dark tones – quite the opposite! By choosing pure tones for the decoration , such as off white and terracotta, the architect achieved a bright effect in a cozy living room , heated for the winter, where some of the walls even received a natural leather covering. Highlights include the neutral rug that covers the entire sofa area, and the plush stools – perfect for colder days! casa grao tres arquitetura tecido aquecer inverno Speaking of tones for winter, how about green kills ? In this residence perfumed by coffee beans scattered in creative places in the composition, such as on the surface of the table, the bedroom area was dressed in a very cozy way . In it, the blanket in the same color as the wall was placed casually on the bed – a relaxed way to add style and keep warm on the coldest nights . The project by Fernanda Tegacini, Fernanda Morais and Nathalia Mouco from Très Arquitetura seeks to portray a more detached, altruistic and humanized life that, for them, are distinctive of the new generation.
In a loft with large openings to the outside and bathed in natural light, it is difficult to imagine a composition where the best of winter textures are combined , but this is exactly the case at Loft Hanami . From wall to ceiling, the living area is entirely covered in melamine panels that imitate wood , bringing the double height to create a feeling of coziness. And not only that: in this space it is possible to notice a curious overlap of carpets , which speak to each other through the common red tone; in addition to the use of the fireplace , which, in itself, is already the face of winter. The project is signed by JJD Arquitetura and was part of CASACOR Santa Catarina | Balneário Camboriú 2017 . lareira bar do relogio marcelo diniz casacor são paulo 2019 It is the fireplace that also guides the arrangement of the furniture and creates an inviting seating area in Bar do Relógio , by Marcelo Diniz. The project was essentially divided into three environments : the external area, where drinks are served outdoors, and the internal area, where tables and chairs are available for meals and this type of small cozy seating area . In it, the marble fireplace is accompanied by leather armchairs, both positioned next to the oriental rug , whose print recalls the Venetian pink of the walls and ceiling. juliana pippi casacor sala tapete casacor “A room to live, socialize, receive, toast, listen to music, read or write”: this is how architect Juliana Pippi describes her space at CASACOR Santa Catarina 2017 . The living room, which finds motivation for the decor in feminine strength, includes the hall, living room, dining room, bar and bathroom – all in shades of light pink and nude in contrast to black and graphite . Perhaps what most captivates the eye in the Pink and Charcoal Room is the wooden ceiling , whose texture runs throughout the composition, warming it up. Different rugs, curtains and fabrics are arranged on the furniture, which mostly comes from antique stores , making the living room even more welcoming. suite blush bruno carvalho casacor In the large 53 m² suite, Bruno Carvalho opted for elegant tones that vary between gold, yellow and black , which can be found everywhere in the decor – be it in the fabrics, upholstery and floor, wall and ceiling coverings. To create a perfect combination between contemporary and art deco styles , the interior designer opted for two rugs printed with geometric shapes , which run through the suite from the entrance to the imposing closet. The Blush Suite project was part of CASACOR São Paulo 2019 .
