The
Très Arquitetura office had already carried out a renovation on this 210m² apartment, located in Itaim, São Paulo, 9 years ago. Originally from the 90s, the property was completely renovated for a young couple who were getting married and moving to the first home. “Seven years later, they called us to do a
partial adaptation of the apartment we had built, because they were pregnant with their second daughter and they wanted to make a small room for their oldest daughter, get rid of the old office, and change some of the furniture. little in the living room configuration”, say the architects.
This second change, although partial, was a
major renovation . With the arrival of their second daughter, the residents wanted to give their eldest daughter a really nice little room as a gift.
“She was still sleeping in the crib and moved to the bed, so we made a room with a
little girl’s room in mind, with a study bench, a really cool place to store her toys… So we had the
carpentry planned and made to measure , where we had already designed a
study bench at adult height and, underneath, we placed some
boxes on wheels to store the toys and that would have easy access for her to pull, play and put away the toys by herself”, they explain.
The room's palette was in
shades of pink – an unusual mix between a dry shade of pink and a very bright and cheerful coral color. “We also worked with two different
wallpapers . On the corner of the window with the headboard of the bed, there is a polka dot wallpaper and, on the other side, we have a pink wallpaper,” say the professionals.
In the living room, the main intention was
to create a living room with two areas . In the first project, there was a large living room that served as a living room and home theater, but the residents really missed having a
single space , with more possibilities.
“So we ended up coming up with an
integrated layout , but we worked on a box sofa by
Jader Almeida , which is super cool and turns to both sides. It turns to the living room side, creating a really cool conversation with the two armchairs, and to the other side, it turns into the carpentry shop, where we placed a television and created a TV room”, they explain.
