Books no longer remain confined to discreet shelves and begin to take part in the composition of projects in a freer, more expressive way at CASACOR Goiás 2026. The exhibition, which runs until June 21, 2026, teaches how to use books as elements that organize, structure and even replace furniture pieces.

Across different projects, books appear in varied scales and uses — from informal props to more striking architectural compositions. This selection highlights how the object, beyond reading, helps create rhythm, texture and meaning in spaces.

"Casa 1961" by the duo Clécio Lourenço e Gervásio Milaneze pays homage to the trajectory of Pedro Torminn Borges and Vera Lúcia Oliveira Borges, pioneers of living in Goiás. The timeless design embraces the family’s personal collection and works by Siron Franco. The books appear perfectly aligned on a large wooden bookcase, and also occupy the side tables beside decorative items.

The architect Mário Guimarães presents "Podcast Elo de Voz," a functional studio wrapped by an immersive black cube. The layout organizes the technical area and the reception, highlighting the signature terracotta rug. One of the pieces that most draws attention in the space is the composition of books that support the television and the camera. In a creative setup, it is as if the books go beyond a decorative role to take the place of the furniture.

"Between me and you" is a couple’s bedroom, conceived by the architect Gustavo Barone, which investigates togetherness as a sensitive experience. The space translates the duality between individuality and encounter through an architecture that balances matter and emotion. Books appear both on the bedside table, facilitating access to reading, and as decorative pieces that compose the wooden bookcase.

“Be Here and Now,” signed by Luísa Macêdo, proposes a pause in the contemporary rhythm. The project translates the balance between mind and heart through a sensory architecture. Natural light, organic materials and soft tones build a welcoming, fluid atmosphere. In it, books are part of the decor when used as "support" for different decorative objects – from small sculptures to a globe.

The "Loft Urucum," by Marcos Lula, stems from an investigation of Brazil and its most sensitive layers, translating colors, materials and gestures into an immersive experience. In addition, art and signature design reinforce the narrative, resulting in a contemporary loft that evokes an "essential Brazil".
