Family moments are more than valued. This was the proposal of architect
Ana Cano Milman – from
CASACOR Rio – when revamping this
200 m² room : the space is divided into
living, dining and home areas and has plenty of natural light.

As the property is located in an area where greenery is present, the architect sought inspiration in the surrounding vegetation and brought
wood into the house in a specific way, connecting internal and external areas .

"Outside the house there is a lot of greenery, trees and birds. Bringing nature into the project was almost mandatory," he explains.

Since the space has a
high ceiling , the architect opted for
large windows that frame the vegetation in the outdoor area. To further enhance the natural beauty, Ana created a space with a neutral base, allowing the nuances of wood to stand out, as well as other specific items in the décor.

The spaces are divided into succinct sections: in the
home , a large wooden panel defines the area, as well as the use of a plush rug, which is also replicated in the entrance of the property. For the
living room , in addition to the positioning of the furniture, the architect also opted for a large rug covering the entire space.

The furniture was chosen to create references that complement each other: while the sofa and armchairs, with straw details, bring a more classic style, the tables in the living room have a more contemporary design, with distinct geometric shapes and the use of metalwork.

"A detail that I really like in the living room and that has become a favorite of this space is the slatted wood: between each slat, we placed mirrors and direct lighting, creating a touch of style for the project," he concludes.
