] The large spans that define the Renault Lounge, at CASA COR Rio de Janeiro 2015 , already indicate part of the concern that Duda Porto's office had with sustainable solutions in the 100 m² space. In addition to the abundance of natural light, those who visit the space also notice the coolness typical of well-ventilated spaces. “Our challenge was to prepare a place that did not at all resemble a traditional garage, which only serves as a storage room and for parking the car”, says the architect. With a contemporary and laid-back profile, the resident idealized by the professional enjoys subjects related to motoring and travel. And he still likes to get together with friends in his “lounge car” to exchange experiences on these topics and remember programs already made. Details in the decoration reinforce the idea conceived by Duda and his team, such as the old suitcases that serve as a side table, next to the sofa, and the mix of fabrics and textures associated with rusticity. The scenic lighting, which includes the flower beds of the landscaping project – carried out in partnership with Landscape, completes the inviting scene.
Neutral tones and materials that refer to nature predominate in Duda Porto’s project. The dark tone present in the metal structure, in the garden furniture and in the finishing of the flower beds is directly connected to the amethyst black car. 2-garagemrenault-casacorj Part of the coziness is due to the combination of coverings – floor, ceiling and cumarude louvres that define the space along with the porcelain walls. The detail of the reforestation HDF lattice serves to highlight the area designated for the vehicle. Notice the filleted slate, used on the living room floor. 3-garagemrenault-casacorj Framed by an opening in the gabion wall (metal screen with rough stones inside), New Fluence looks like a work of art when viewed from the garden. Brises allow the entry of natural light and also promote constant ventilation of the space.
