Books are loved by many people and, among those who are passionate about collecting works by different authors, a common desire is to want to integrate
books into the decoration of environments . The use of
shelves is quite practical and offers the chance for organization, but this year, the
CASACOR cast
presented different ways of placing books in the
décor , in order to
enhance the cover and even
play with the different sizes . We have selected the most creative ideas from this year's exhibitions to inspire you. Check them out below:

In the
Intown Arquitetura project, Espaço Raízes created a large countertop for
a home office with works of art and books used as decoration. You know that lush book that wouldn't even fit on the shelf? This can serve as a
casual item to decorate your space.
home office .

The duo of architects also included some books on top of a suspended drawer unit – which works as an extension of the bedside table – and
played with the different sizes to keep the books organized and highlighted.
Straight to the wall
Books usually contain some striking passage that makes us want to highlight it so we can always consult it. A clever way of doing this that
Poema Arquitetura took to
CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul is
to display the open books directly on the wall .
Helô Marques - Carandá. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2022. (Gabriela Daltro/CASACOR)
The same was done by
Helô Marques , in the Carandá project, for
CASACOR São Paulo 2022. The architect also added an
acrylic box to preserve the works from the effects of time.
Use the coffee table
(Cristiano Bauce/CASACOR)
The
coffee table can be a strategic piece of furniture to place your favorite works and always have them at hand.
Lídia Maciel used books to
bring color to a neutral base created by her for CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2022. In addition to the table, It is possible to see that the architect used the
sideboard to accommodate other books.
Innovate on your own bookshelf
(Cristiano Bauce/CASACOR)
Poema Arquitetura also presented a different way of
displaying books using the bookshelf itself . The office mixed the books with other ornaments and played with the works and their different sizes and colors. At the top, one of the books was inverted to allow look at the pages, not the spine of the cover. At another point, you can also see
two books supporting a third – small details that help to create a unique style.
