Unlike traditional bathrooms, the
lavatory is a space for
simple and quick personal hygiene tasks , which only has a sink and toilet. As it is a space often used by visitors, it is located near the entrance of a residence and is considered a
calling card of the home . Exactly for this reason, it is worth investing in
decoration to make the environment sophisticated, modern and elegant. Below, check out
5 CASACOR 2024 projects that teach you how to make better use of this space :
1. Sacred Land Lavatory
Gabriel Rosa - Lavabo Terra Sagrada. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2024. Gabriel Rosa - Lavabo Terra Sagrada. 2. Oasis Lavatory
(Esdras Guimarães/CASACOR)
To promote a sense of
balance and freshness , the YK Arquitetura project incorporates natural elements such as stone,
plants and
wood . In 7.28 m², two rounded countertop sinks were fixed to the curved wall. There is also an indoor
garden , niches for
art objects and a chair for reading. In addition, the intimate lighting makes the space
welcoming without losing functionality .
Known for his Brazilian aesthetic and decolonial approach, João Gabriel incorporated different cultural elements into this bathroom. In a tribute to black cultural heritage and the music of Gilberto Gil, the architect uses red, yellow and pink clay tones to evoke ancestry. From the entrance hall , images and excerpts of Gil's music are scattered throughout the space, in addition to the presence of a tree that symbolizes the singer's roots from Bahia. 4.This is not a toilet
At
CASACOR Ribeirão Preto , Victoria Santoro's bathroom shows that
details make all the difference . The
lighting creates a play of shadows with soft light, accentuating the charm of the space. The ceiling, in a red tone identical to the painting with tigers that adorns it, displays a vibrant contrast. Finally, the velvet on the walls adds a luxurious texture.
5. Home Office Washroom
(Carolina Mossin/CASACOR)
Sophisticated and contemporary , Fabiana Dib's guest bathroom was designed to complement a
home office space. One of the highlights is the marble covering the floor, a material reused from the walls of the original construction. The oval countertop, also made of marble, is another highlight, complemented by the countertop sink and the LED-lit mirror. The walls are divided by wood and straw paper, coverings that simultaneously warm and add elegance.
