Solarium is the first environment of the
CASACOR Window Challenge to be presented to the public! Assembled in just 4 days by architect Helô Marques, the project was inspired by the book “The Magic Mountain”, and designed with modernist features: large windows, plenty of ventilation,
modern design minimalist , light tones and light, fluid lines, in order to facilitate cleaning. The container will be on display between November 8th and 15th at Shopping D&D, in São Paulo.
The professional sought inspiration in the literature of Thomas Mann, since it addresses issues that are very present in her daily life during quarantine. “The Magic Mountain” brings reflections on time, isolation and pleasure in a different lifestyle. . All feelings we can relate to, especially this year.
Therefore, the
Solarium rescues architectural needs typical of times of pandemic, such as ventilation, lighting, cleanliness and practicality. All of these features help to create safer places and mitigate the spread of diseases.
The
Challenge is one of the new features of
Janelas CASACOR and works as follows: at the entrance to Shopping D&D, in São Paulo, two containers will be occupied alternately by different architects. The challenge for the professional is to be able to install their environment in just four days and, After the week of exhibition, dismantle it in just two days. In addition to the reduced time, there is another detail: the new space must use a piece (furniture, lamp, decorative object) used in the previous space.
