The office project Fernando Lanner Architecture brings the idea of a cave to CASACOR Rio 2024. This is the Urban Refuge Loft , a 130 m² space designed to be the home of a contemporary, independent and cosmopolitan woman. Our project translates into a modern, technological, rustic and elegant cave . A space inspired by the Atlantic Forest , with all its organicity and exuberance , says architect Fernando Lanner, who also carried out the work on the space together with his partner Lúcia Gonçalves . For him, the theme of the exhibition, As a gift, the now ”, is revealed in the space through respect and admiration for nature, valuing a life in harmony with the environment and adopting technologies that facilitate this process of interaction and connection.

Divided into two floors, the loft has a living room, dining room, office, open kitchen, guest bathroom and a garden around the fan-shaped staircase, finished in corten steel, which leads to the second floor, where the suite with a bathtub and walk-in closet are located. “The project works on the concept of integrated, fluid and spacious spaces in the social area, reserving the suite as an intimate sanctuary,” says partner Lucia, highlighting the difference in height of the ceilings to convey this sensation, which is lower in the private areas and double in the living area.

According to Lanner, the space is a fusion of contemporary architecture with the beauty of shapes, textures, colors and natural elements. “The color palette ranges from sandy tones, greens, grays and browns , which are reminiscent of the natural environment. Modern materials such as MDF, Corian, porcelain and textures are used to reinforce this aesthetic, communicating rusticity with elegance ,” describes the architect. The lighting design is soft to provide comfort and relaxation, accompanying the large frames, created to integrate the interior spaces with the landscape and bathe the space in natural light .
