With 80 m², located in
Praia Brava, in Florianópolis, this apartment underwent a complete renovation led by architect
Juliana Pippi . The idea was to transform the spaces into a refuge for a couple of residents. "The design of the living room with integrated kitchen and balcony brings together everything that represents the clients' connection with the beach and the
fresh lifestyle that Floripa provides them", says the architect.

This is because the couple lives in São Paulo, but has roots in Blumenau, also in Santa Catarina. Therefore, they always travel to the state and spending the summers in this apartment was already an old habit. "They felt the need to give it a general
makeover in social environments", says Juliana.

Since they enjoy spending time with family and entertaining friends on the weekends, they wanted
fluid and
cozy spaces. In addition, the apartment had a collection of art and design pieces found around the world, which were preserved and enhanced in the new project. As I usually say: every project for me starts with a song and ends with a playlist. For this apartment, it would be bossa nova, for sure!", reveals Juliana.

The
Code bookcase, by Jader Almeida, is one of the highlights of the project, and houses the collection of books and objects brought from travels and antique shops around the world. "From the rug from Morocco to the balcony sofa from St. Barth, everything there has "a lot of meaning", he says. The pieces from the antique dealer Arnaldo Danemberg and the AD. STUDIO store, owned by his daughter Paloma, complete the beach decor.

The
art of Juarez Machado, Tarsila do Amaral and other great icons of Brazilian art merge with the photographs of younger artists, such as Kiolo from Bahia. In the mix of fabrics, linen invades the scene — from the curtains to the sofa. "The details of the straw in the cushions, mirrors and furniture give a handmade touch", explains the architect.

The
blues of the sea could not be missed and permeate the entire project. The new blue kitchen was a bet to bring freshness to the environment. "The entire project process was very enjoyable and full of exchange. In addition to the passion for good music, design and art, what do I have in common with these clients? We are made to be close to the sea", concludes Juliana.
