The house is a mirror of our inner state — and the objects we choose to fill it directly influence how we feel! According to biophilic design, Feng Shui, and even environmental psychology studies, the physical space has a real impact on mood, productivity, and the sense of balance. Therefore, considering what enters and remains in the house is a way to nurture the energy of everyday life and favor well-being and luck.

It is not about superstition, but rather about perception. Items that accumulate negative memories, broken objects, or disproportionate decorations can generate visual and emotional noise. With small changes — and some aesthetic awareness — it is possible to transform the project into a refuge that welcomes and inspires.

The role of the project in well-being and luck

The concept of well-being and luck goes beyond the idea of fate: it is related to the flow of energies and the balance between form, function, and emotion. Disorganized, dark, or visually overstimulated projects tend to generate fatigue and discomfort. Harmonious, illuminated projects with meaningful objects strengthen the sense of lightness and prosperity.

Contemporary design has explored this connection between aesthetics and energy. The choice of soft colors, natural materials, and purposeful objects is a growing trend, reflecting the collective desire for homes that bring calm and authenticity. Within this logic, we list below five items that should be avoided — not only for belief but for their sensory and symbolic impact!

1. Poorly positioned mirrors

Mirrors are powerful amplifiers of energy, but when poorly positioned, they can generate discomfort and scattering. In Feng Shui, it is believed that mirrors in front of the entrance door reflect positive energy back outside, while in the bedroom they can affect sleep quality if they directly reflect the bed. In terms of design, constant reflection can create visual pollution, especially in small projects. The tip is to use the mirror to expand natural light and duplicate pleasant views, avoiding placing it opposite passage areas or disordered scenes. Thus, it contributes to the well-being and luck of the project in a balanced and elegant way.

2. Broken or functionless objects

Chipped pieces, stopped clocks, and broken utensils are symbols of stagnation. Even unconsciously, we tend to get used to objects that do not function fully — and this interferes with the sense of vitality of the house. Aesthetically speaking, they also break harmony and hinder the visual reading of projects.

Keeping only what has utility or meaning is a practical way to renew energy. Replacing damaged objects with well-maintained or restored versions stimulates the sense of movement and continuity, two fundamental pillars for well-being and luck at home.

3. Excessive decorative items

The accumulation of decorative pieces can overload the senses. Instead of transmitting personality, the excess creates a chaotic atmosphere, making it difficult to relax and concentrate. Visual harmony is in the breathing space: well-chosen objects distributed in balanced proportions allow each one to stand out.

In contemporary design, less is more — and each piece should tell a story. Replacing volume with meaning is a way to reconnect the gaze to the essential and promote a calmer and more intuitive project.

4. Poorly dosed colors and lighting

Lighting and colors also exert great influence over the emotional state. Projects that are too dark or with an excess of cold light tend to generate discomfort, while the combination of vibrant tones without balance can overstimulate the senses. Neutral colors and soft or diffused lighting create warm and elegant atmospheres. Natural light, whenever possible, should be prioritized, as it supports the biological rhythm and renews the energy of the projects. Adjusting these elements is essential to ensure well-being and luck in daily life, without sacrificing aesthetics.

5. Items that carry negative memories

Every object carries a story. Inherited pieces, gifts from old relationships, or reminders of difficult moments can hold emotions that affect the atmosphere of the house. Although sentimental value is important, it is essential to recognize when something no longer conveys good feelings.

Giving a new purpose to these items — whether donating, refurbishing, or keeping with purpose — allows making space for new experiences and affections. In an emotionally light project, the energy flows better and the sense of well-being and luck is strengthened.
