The creative use of
colors and the diversity of
materials are important characteristics in the projects of the
CASACOR 2025 exhibitions. The mix of elements such as
stones,
wood, fabrics, and metal sheets, alongside mirrored surfaces stand out and help to propel the narrative of dreams, aiming to play with perception to transport visitors to other worlds. In this way, the attention is drawn to
immersive spaces – a growing trend in interior design, according to WGSN's research. Whether to stimulate the imagination or offer a breath of fresh air to the troubled everyday life, the need for escapism inspired the participating architects and designers. Check below for a selection of immersive projects!
Temple House
João Panaggio - Claro na Casa Paulistana. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. (Denilson Machado, do MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)
Designed from an irregular triangle, the layout of the house signed by architect
João Panaggio organizes and integrates the projects fluidly. In a restorative atmosphere,
natural light guides the space throughout the day, filtered by skylights and strategically positioned openings. "This structure, with a large free span of 20 meters, refers to the utopias of
Brazilian modernism and allows multiple usage possibilities – an idea that directly relates to the mutable essence of the human being, reflected in architecture," Panaggio completes. The project also resonates with the tropical modernism movement, both in the choice of materials, such as natural stones and demolition wood panels, and in the presence of native species in the landscaping, signed by Pedro Rabelais.
Contemplative Garden
Kawai Paisagismo - Jardim Simbiose. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. (Camila Santos/CASACOR)
The office led by
Vitor Kodama created a project that reflects the biodiversity and the spontaneous beauty of nature. For this reason, it was chosen to house sculptures from the Agglomerations series by the Curitiba artist Bruna Mayer. Varied volumes, contrasts of foliage, and chromatic combinations suggest an immersion in a
tropical garden, while the path shaped with wooden slats denotes the interaction between the constructed project and the natural.
Sanctuary Vibes
Gabriel Rosa - Adega Legado. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. (Vitor Guilherme/CASACOR)
In the collective imagination, wine is generally linked to European heritage. Not in this
wine cellar, where architect
Gabriel Rosa challenges this pre-established conception and focuses on the beverage consumption on the African continent. “This rescue transforms the act of celebrating into a gesture of resistance and belonging,” he explains. The 33 m² project evokes a sanctuary thanks to elements such as vibrant stained glass windows and arches in the architecture.
Coffee Break
Daniela Andrade - Café com Tempo. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. (Camila Santos/CASACOR)
The Célula table, developed by architect
Daniela Andrade especially for CASACOR São Paulo, creates numerous arrangements because of its shape. The
intimate lighting and artisanal ceramics are noteworthy, as well as the ceiling: a
wavy metal surface created by artist Ivan Coelho to resemble a floating liquid skin. “What if the unconscious, emotions, and the flow of memory, often associated with water, hovered over us like an inner sky?” the author questions.
Natural Trail
Traço 8 Arquitetura - Trilha Onírica. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. (Israel Gollino/CASACOR)
The hand-painted wallpaper by Dominique Jardy serves as the artistic backdrop in this
bathroom, abundantly illuminated by the arch openings of the building, created by the
Traço 8 Arquitetura office. Occupying a large part of the project,
plants purify the air and regulate humidity, as if life is sprouting from the construction. On the wall rests Abelha, by Rapha Preto. The
golden sculpture in enlarged scale intrigues us, just like a trail in nature, which often leads to the unexpected.
Oriental Atmosphere
Bruno Carvalho - Casa Toushi Duratex. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. (Denilson Machado, do MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)
Bringing forth a new understanding of the history of the peoples of China through symbols of culture and living is the intent of this project signed by architect
Bruno Carvalho. To achieve this, he considered elements such as balance, spirituality, memory, and delicacy in a layout segmented into living, tea house, bedroom, and bath. The biggest draw is the ceiling: an MDF structure that pays homage to the
volumes emphasized in Asian architecture.
Restorative Refuge
Casa Nord Arquitetos - Suíte Alma. Projeto da CASACOR Santa Catarina | Itapema 2025. (Lio Simas/CASACOR)
Created by the office
Casa Nord Arquitetos, this suite is a space dedicated to inner essence. Each element is designed to nurture the mind and spirit. Thus, the minimalist design,
soft curves, and natural materials create an atmosphere of lightness and tranquility to recharge energies and create a constant cycle of renewal.
Cultural References
Andressa Mâtos Psicoarquitetura - Lavabo Terra e Sal. Projeto da CASACOR Bahia 2025. (Camila Santos/CASACOR)
This lavabo signed by architect Andressa Mâtos translates into architecture the story of the professional, who has roots in the São Francisco Valley and a special connection with Salvador. The project combines permanence and movement, warmth and freshness, creating a sensory and poetic space. Walls and floor of terracotta burnt cement refer to the arid soil of the hinterland, while the ceiling and bluish walls evoke the sea and popular Bahian architecture. The simply shaped and rustic countertop joins striking elements such as carrancas, cobogó in the shape of mandacaru, clay sculptures, and nautical ropes, thus connecting two biomes. Immersion in the Arts
Neto Cunha Arquitetura - Café Lounge Florar. Projeto da CASACOR Bahia 2025. (Bia Nauiack/CASACOR)
Created by Neto Cunha, with art curatorship by Igor Vidor, this space combines café and art gallery. The architect preserved original elements, such as frames and floors, and gently included contemporary elements. The scenic lighting and blue tones create a welcoming atmosphere. Highlighted is a giant flower, created by Vidor, symbolizing resistance and blooming. Digital Art and Sustainability
Wesley Lemos - Saleta d’Arte. Projeto da CASACOR Bahia 2025. (Denilson Machado/CASACOR)
The project elaborated by architect Wesley Lemos presents an innovative conception that unites digital art and sustainability, highlighting the beauty of Brazilian plants and the importance of ancestry. With an area of 38.31 m², the space is divided into two projects: an interactive lounge and a contemplative sitting area. The partnership between Estudo W+ and Epson allows for an immersive digital experience that artistically and innovatively reflects the concern for the projects and sustainability.
