Self-care spaces take center stage at CASACOR Rio 2022

Bathrooms, spas, spaces for disconnecting and relaxing: the important thing is to have a little corner to take care of yourself

Taking care of your body, skin and soul has become even more important during the pandemic, definitively entering our lives and conquering our homes. It is no wonder that at CASACOR Rio, bathrooms have gained the status of a "bathroom", with décor increasingly intimate and places dedicated to self-care . And there are also those environments designed to provide moments of disconnection , relaxation and well-being . Casa Migrante, por João Panaggio. CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2022. "The bathroom is no longer a place dedicated exclusively to hygiene. Self-care is increasingly essential in our daily lives and the environment begins to reflect this", says architect João Panaggio. In his Migrant House , he set up the bathroom in a corner completely surrounded by greenery , which helps to bring to the environment that peaceful atmosphere so necessary for that moment when all that matters is taking care of yourself.

Sérgio Conde Caldas and Patricia Andrade went even further and installed the bathtub in their Poet's Corner literally in the middle of the garden. The idea of an open-air bathtub , or almost, also appears in the Urban Refuge by Cadé Marino , Michelle Wilkinson and Thiago Morsch . The trio from Up3 Arquitetura transformed one of the balconies on the second floor into a space dedicated to rest and relaxation, with intimate décor . where soft tones predominate. The use of mashrabiyas helps to bring even more privacy to the environment.

The Cadência bathroom, by Anna Fadul , has a removable wooden deck over the bathtub, which provides extra space for skin care and a moment of relaxation. With fluid environments and few divisions, the project uses natural materials that give a casual-chic mood to the space created by Diego Raposo and Manuela Simas as an island of encounter and relaxation. In the middle of In addition to the garden, the spa is divided into four experiences : “Decompression”, to enjoy nature; “Skin-Care”, for personal care and contemplation of the surroundings; “Bath”, for hygiene and personal connection; and “Hamman”. ”, to reflect and recharge your batteries.
CASACOR Rio will be open until June 26th and will feature 43 teams of professionals , including architects, interior designers and landscapers. There are 45 spaces set up at the Brando Barbosa Residence. Once again, the exhibition is hybrid, with a version in person and a digital version, with videos and 3D tours available on the website www.casacor.com.br .
