The conversation spaces gain new interpretations in contemporary projects – with projects designed beyond "passive entertainment". Spacious sofas, open layouts and living rooms without the dominant presence of television reveal a shift in the way the home organizes moments of togetherness.
At CASACOR São Paulo 2026, this proposal appears in different languages, from the most introspective projects to spaces dedicated to collective gatherings. The choice of furniture, the integration between social areas and the creation of points of permanence show how architecture can encourage exchange and transform the living room into a place of connection.
The reorganization of living projects accompanies a transformation in the way of living. With the home taking on more and more functions — work, rest, gatherings and leisure — the living room is no longer thought of only as an entertainment space and starts to house different experiences of togetherness.
The change appears in the architecture and in the furniture, which begin to prioritize comfort, circulation and flexibility. Conversation spaces emerge as a response to this new dynamic, valuing shared moments inside the home.
The sunken living room and the elements of natural texture create a more intimate atmosphere, designed for permanence. The large, curved sofas reinforce the idea of welcoming, with a configuration that favors prolonged conversations.
