At CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2018 there is a space that surprisingly combines design, entertainment, gastronomy and sustainability. It is the Empório & Lounge Cine Open Air , designed by architects Cristina Côrtes and Virna Carvalho, in partnership with the visual artist and landscaper Sandro Ward. Located next to the central square of the beautiful property in Glória, which houses the exhibition, the 180 m² space has an external and an internal part.

The interior is where the store, operated by the delicatessen chain Deli Delícia, is located, which occupies a bucolic building with its façade preserved. For the decoration, exposed brick coverings were used on the walls, and geometric and cement porcelain tiles were used on the floors. shades of gray. MDF panels cover the furniture and the interior lining of the building, all new products from Duratex.

Outside, a large lounge was set up, with lush landscaping by Sandro Ward and a 4.5 m x 2 m LED panel, where films and shows are shown, making the space a great attraction. A large deck was built on reused hardwood sleepers, which came from replacing old railway tracks. Also noteworthy is the water mirror, a project by Unlimited.

Works of art are inserted in the scenery, with emphasis on two large sculptures: a hummingbird, symbol of Deli Delícia, signed by the artist Roberto Romero, and a string art, The Nest, by Sandro Ward. CASACOR SERVICE RIO DE JANEIRO 2018 WHEN? From September 18th to November 4th, 2018
