Located in Bela Vista, a traditional neighborhood in São Paulo, the small
45 m² apartment was renovated by architect
Rafaela Caminhola, from Samba Estúdio , for a young lawyer who had recently settled in the city. Dedicated to her studies and passionate about books, she was looking for a cozy refuge amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, and that was exactly what she asked the firm for.
Based on this
briefing , the architect designed a contemporary and
minimalist interior design. With a clean approach,
multifunctional spaces and furniture were created, designed to meet all the resident's needs, i.e. studying, working and relaxing.
The
colors selected are serene , with a predominance of neutral tones such as
white ,
beige and
light wood which, when integrated, establish an atmosphere that awakens warmth and harmony and evokes characteristics of
Nordic aesthetics . Special care was given to the textures, which give a layer of depth to the space.
In integrating the social area, the
bench plays a dual role, serving both as
a seat for the dining table and as
a sideboard for the television , optimizing the use of space and ensuring fluid circulation.
The highlight of the project is the bookcase designed by the office: in addition to its decorative function, it
houses a bench for a practical home office , as well as clearly defining the spaces.
The
kitchen is compact and arranged along one wall equipped with a countertop for a cooktop, sink, built-in electric oven, refrigerator and cabinets.
The backsplash was covered in granite .
The
bedroom maintains an intimate atmosphere. For the office, a wooden headboard with indirect lighting detail was designed, as well as a dressing table. Different lamps ensure a warm and inviting atmosphere to the project, such as the Li Lamp by
Adriana Yazbek , the IC Lamp by
Flos , and the Bon Juor table lamp by
Philippe Starck .
