Just like Ying and Yang, black and white are in fact opposites, but they complement each other through contrast. Color blocks are a trend, however, there are professionals who go a step further and explore the possible harmony between opposites. Like any film Black and white can prove it, this combination has a special charm .

CASACOR professionals used black and white for a variety of purposes. The spaces below use the two colors together or alone, and the result is projects that immediately catch the eye.

The color black is the protagonist, highlighting the volume and design of the fixed furniture and the structure of the space. Several elements explore verticality, such as the staircase with glass steps and, on the opposite side, the wall transformed into a wine cellar. (Lio Simas)

The spaces designed by Ricardo Abreu, Athos Peruzzolo and Viviane Loyola are proof that, contrary to what it may seem, black-covered walls are not at all monotonous . Each of the professionals in their respective spaces uses black to create distinct atmospheres and striking: in the Fetiche Loft , black lends a mysterious air, the Architect's Loft conveys the sobriety of its occupant and the Boy's Suite gains a touch of youthful elegance with its black shelves and bookcases.

The well-designed furniture has straight lines and recessed handles. The colors and materials are natural, such as white, mint, graphite and washed wood that draws attention to the ceiling. (Lio Simas)

08/08 - CASACOR Brasília. Casulo by Anna Albano and Camila Abrahão - Subsersivo Lavabo. The architects are the winners of the 7th São Geraldo CASACOR Brasília Young Professional Award and took over the 44 m² space. It has only two coverings, tiles and mirrors, and there is no distinction between the floor and ceiling of the space - one seems to reflect the other. (Jomar Bragança)

Historically, since the 19th century, bathrooms have been brighter environments, as this would allow dirt to be more easily identified. Obviously, the bathroom has been redefined , and today it is a place for relaxation and disconnection. CASACOR architects and designers chose black as the central color in their palettes. The stones bring practicality and style, while the wood brings the linearity and textures of the slats.
