The 2024 edition of
CASACOR São Paulo is more colorful than ever. As you stroll through the 75 spaces that make up the exhibition, you can be inspired by the many possibilities of using colors on walls and ceilings, which have become protagonists in projects developed by architects and interior designers. For the ninth consecutive year,
Coral is the official paint partner, in addition to being a sponsor of the most complete architecture, interior design and landscaping exhibition in the Americas. “CASACOR is a platform that allows us to deepen our relationship with interior design professionals, exchanging knowledge and understanding their needs. More than that, we also want to provide visitors with memorable experiences and show the possibilities that paints provide in a wide range of projects and styles,” says Tamara Lacivita de Goes, marketing manager for Brazil at AkzoNobel, a multinational company that created the global trend and color study called Color Futures 20 years ago and has Coral as a decorative paint brand in its portfolio. With extensive knowledge of colors, Coral supports CASACOR's talented team with the goal of helping to harmonize paint tones, textures and special effects used on the walls and ceilings of each project. And the result could not be more creative. That's because the brand's team offers specialized consulting to the professionals who participate in each edition of the show, helping them choose the tones that best convey the atmosphere of the environment. After all, colors are capable of creating different sensations, as you can see in ten projects from the 2024 edition of CASACOR selected by Coral. See below!
1. Coral House - Place of Affection, by Paola Ribeiro
Entering the space designed by interior designer
Paola Ribeiro is a unique sensory experience. With an atmosphere of welcome, comfort and security, as every home should be, the place enchants visitors with its well-balanced mix of colors, prints and textures in every detail. By combining affective objects with modern works of art, Paola presents a true refuge, in which each element is an invitation to feel and live the good moments of life. One of the highlights of the décor are the stripes in different directions (including the ceiling), which capture the eye. The palette, greens, blues and pinks in strong and soft tones coexist harmoniously. In this space, the colors Vibrant Navy Blue, Place of Affection (Coral's Color of the Year for 2024), Promised Land, Autumn Leaves, Romantic Gift, Autumn Leaves, Natural Stone and Fountain of the Square were used.
2. Apartment Hall, by Gustavo Scaramella

Architect Gustavo Scaramella brought together new and old pieces in his hall to create a colorful and story-telling décor. These are items from his scavenger hunt and souvenirs that reflect the eclecticism of the architect's creative universe. In addition, the professional's goal was to reflect in this space the plurality seen in the world and in people in general. The result is a project in which past, present and future appear intertwined, as in the two-tone tauari wood floor with circles of national marble. The ceiling painted yellowish-green (Pantanal Yellow color) received embossed MDF pieces. The Rustic Texture was used in the space. 3. Terreiro Occupation, by Alexandre Salles
Architect Alexandre Salles brought historical and cultural inspiration to CASACOR São Paulo 2024. The space designed by him references the social interaction of backyards, which were traditionally spaces for social gatherings in the context of candomblé and samba. Another inspiration for this installation is the backyard of Tia Ciata, an emblematic figure of Rio de Janeiro samba. Using artificial intelligence, the professional reinvents the materiality of the environment by incorporating symbolic elements, textures and shapes that evoke a visual narrative of Afro-Brazilian culture and history. Among the works, there are contemporary pieces by artists such as Moisés Patrício, André Ricardo, Diambe and Soberana Ziza. The colors on the walls and ceilings are from the orange and earthy family of the Coral catalog. They are: Âmbar Terroso, Pote de Argila, Casa na Árvore, Jazz, Terra Prometida and Casa de Campo. 4. Sacred Land Lavatory, by Gabriel Rosa
Making his debut at CASACOR, architect Gabriel Rosa sought inspiration in the tradition and spirituality of the Himba. Inhabitants of northern Namibia and the last semi-nomadic people in Africa, they are deeply connected to the territory and their cultural references. Thus, textures, earthy colors, artisanal ceramics, geometric patterns and natural materials make up the space, which, in addition to being a bathroom, has become a sensory experience immersed in this unique culture, honoring ancestors and nature. For the walls, the professional chose a warm neutral tone called Presente de Amor, with Decora Matte products (matte finish) under Textura Design. 5. Backlands of Knowledge, by Marina Salomão
The main influence in this space, created by architect Marina Salomão , is the classic work of Brazilian literature Os Sertões , by Euclides da Cunha. The Unisaber bookstore evokes the history of cangaço to address the passage of time. In this 68 m2 space, elements of northeastern constructions stand out, including raw materials such as clay, fibers and wood. Straw covers the lower part and columns of the shelves with publications of the most diverse genres and the caramel leather armchair refers to the sertanejo clothing. To compose this setting, the palette comes with colors from the neutral family on the walls and ceiling. They are: Presente de Amor, Charme Natural and Branco Cru. 6. Brennand Space, by Renata Patelli Arquitetura

A basic ingredient in ceramics, clay is an important element in the life and career of Francisco Brennand (1927-2019), founder of the workshop named after him, present at CASACOR with a 48 m2 store. In the center of the space, created by architect Renata Patelli , the oven represents the process of firing the pieces and refers to the heat of the nest, since the egg is a recurring element in the work of the artist from Pernambuco. The final pieces are displayed in clay niches, in a contemporary arrangement with treatment and lighting similar to that of an art gallery. To compose the project, the colors Escrita Antiga were selected in the Decora Matte product (matte finish), Pote de Argila and Branco Gatinho in Decora Efeito Velvet. 7. Lathe Kitchen, by Mandril Arquitetura
