The 40m² TPL apartment , developed by architect Renato Mendonça , was designed for a single, sensitive, intellectual man with a keen reading habit. Thinking of a space that would reflect the resident's personality, color could not be left out. the study and definition of the colors was done on top of Abaporu , a painting by Tarsila do Amaral , which the client acquired on one of his trips around the world. In this way, the use of primary colors gained prominence.

The client requested a visually spacious environment , but with privacy for the private area. All the interior walls of the apartment were eliminated, including the bathroom wall.

The dining room and suite were separated by the cabinetry; the bathroom and bedroom were differentiated by a metalwork and glass structure, gaining a few centimeters for the bathroom and bringing even more light to this space. The dining room , kitchen and balcony were better integrated with the removal of the doors, keeping only the existing pillar.

The use of a rustic dining table with black chairs, in addition to black metals, industrial lighting and a canvas armchair, brings the balance that was missing in the space.

In the suite , the headboard covering is an extension of the bathroom covering, with its visually unique niche integrating the two spaces. A surprise came to light: a concrete pillar , which interrupts the niche and stands out with its exposed raw material. .

The bathroom received wall, floor and ceiling cladding, creating a box in a sober earthy tone, and the sink was made of Itaúnas granite with a volcano finish, in an irregular faceted shape. The balcony was used as a living room , also housing the office, which overlooks the landscape. urban a great source of inspiration.
