Curtains have multiple functions in decorating environments: they control light, bring privacy and can also serve as a charming element that guarantees more elegance to the room. The choice of fabric, curtain style and even color and print are of great importance – and between them there is a fine line towards sophistication.
Velvet, silk, cotton and linen are examples of materials that bring elegance in themselves and have the ability to complete the
decor with a curtain.
There aren't many rules regarding the use of curtains, however. Some projects adopt
chevron and voile – fabrics known for letting in light – and that's okay, as they favor natural lighting and are excellent bets in more closed environments. Next, check out some curtain inspirations from
CASACOR !
This dining room with a classic and delicate
decor focuses on curtains as the element capable of bringing lightness and making the composition harmonious. An
off white tone was adopted to
give continuity to the floor and wallpaper.
A heavier curtain can also play its role in decorating rooms.
Rachel Borges opted for a grayish model that stands out very well with the green of the walls and armchair and, as a bonus,
matches the sofa . The strategy is smart, since the objective of the environment is to preserve other elements as protagonists.
Another example of a curtain that guarantees privacy was
Lia Galera 's bet on her Espaço Brasal. In addition to
isolating the dining room , the curtain provides a cozy texture that invites you to touch it.
Interior designer
Genésio Maranhão opted for an
almost theatrical curtain to bring a more cosmopolitan air that mixes Brazilianism, poetry and bossa in the same environment.
Even the
balcony can have a curtain to call yours!
Victor Niskier adopted a unique model with a "perforated" effect for his Livraria project. The choice of curtain was a smart idea that brings innovation and at the same time a touch of coziness, inviting visitors to sit and spend hours and hours reading a good book.
