When renovating this apartment, architect Mara Chap Chap , from CASACOR , faced a new challenge: expanding the area of the existing spaces in the penthouse located in São Paulo so that residents could make better use of the space.

The integration of environments was a fundamental prerequisite for the project. Thus, the music space with the piano and other instruments were positioned in a central and prominent place.

For the outdoor area, a cumaru wood pergola was designed to resolve the unevenness of the floors between the indoor and outdoor areas with a wooden deck in the same material. In the background, the existing planters were renovated and a new fixed sofa, in deck-style carpentry , gained space.

The panels at the top of the stairs are a highlight. They were made in carpentry and covered in fabric to disguise the cutouts of the cabinet openings designed especially for storing kitchen crockery.
