(Denilson Machado/CASACOR)
How do you imagine and realize time? In the 40 m² TOKI Room , the space that marks Juliana Pippi's debut at CASACOR São Paulo , the professional brings her conception of past, present and future, in a calm and cozy atmosphere. , where the blue is striking and soft.
The entire layout is oriented towards the window, to rest the eyes and direct the gaze towards the world – and the time – that awaits us
The architect encourages visitors to reflect on the many aspects and issues surrounding time, inspired by verses from renowned characters in Brazilian literature and music:
“Does the head have the same time as the hand? The time of thought, of action?” – verses by Arnaldo Antunes; “You are such a beautiful man/As the face of my son/ Time, time, time, time.../ You are one of the most beautiful gods.” – verses by Caetano Veloso in his “Prayer to Time”. “I ask you for legitimate pleasure and precise movement, when the time is right/Just with you and me/Time, time, time, time.” – verse by Caetano Veloso. In this dreamlike atmosphere, Juliana translates all her inspiration into the choice of art, design and furniture, which are mostly handmade or very personal.
The walls, for example, are in harmony with the composition of the signed ceramics. by artist Hideko Honma, the areas of raw canvas, and the encapsulations with very thin canvases in an almost rice paper performance, selling the idea of floating from the sepia-toned floor to the slightly pinkish, stoned oak ceiling, from where hangs a stunning sculpture by artist Clara Fernandes. In this fine mix, art also encompasses timeless knowledge. The meticulous marble houses by sculptor Dan Fialdini, in suspended and tabletop versions, complete the scene of photographs (for Juliana, “the art of frozen time”) signed by Denilson Machado, Kiolo and Felipe Morozini, in addition to the work of Walmor Corrêa. The highlight is the furniture created especially for the space: the Passarinho lamp, by designer Ana Neute, which runs almost the entire ceiling, the loom rug, designed by Juliana, in addition to the Slow Design present in the delicate work of Ines Schertel. Everything in a metamorphosis of shapes and volumes. CASACOR SERVICE SAO PAULO 2018 From
