CASACOR SC 2017: A space for the 21st century family
In an era where adults and children do not have much free time due to the countless activities of daily life, where technology is our greatest companion, family time is a very rare moment. With this perception, the architects at Theiss Girardi , Alcides and Rosane, proposed, at CASACOR Santa Catarina 2017 , a new space for the 21st century family, which functions as a meeting point for friends and relatives. The 72 A Room for Everyone space is an invitation to fun for all ages. A large stainless steel bookcase and wooden modules can be moved to create new designs, in addition to housing state-of-the-art equipment. A 75-inch television inches, high resolution, connects to the sound and image system, to the video game and to the internet. The duo chose a palette of gray tones to make the room spacious and cozy. The straight-lined, modular sofa allows for different variations of use, creating a versatile environment. “To give it an even more casual feel, we hung a swing in the center that It is normally used in outdoor areas. It represents playfulness and reinforces emotional memories from childhood,” explains Rosane Girardi. An oval side table by architect Ruy Ohtake can host events, meals and various types of games. The lighting fixed by steel cables gives an industrial touch to the space in contrast with the historic building that houses the exhibition. To complete the atmosphere , the professionals selected some signed pieces, such as the comfortable Louis Henrique armchair and the Macaco table by Henrique Steyer.
