The concise and linear design, as well as the transparency of the glass, softens the presence of the professional's characteristic materials: burnt cement, rocks and natural wood on the floor.

Winter Apartment - Paula Lino. Natural wood panels and ceilings ensure a warmer environment in the 54 m² apartment. Some walls were covered in fabric and others in MDF in a chamois tone, similar to lacquer. The objects and several pieces of furniture came from the architect's family collections.

Gaia House - Luiz Sentinger. Gaia is the goddess who personifies planet Earth, according to Greek mythology. In this house for a couple, layers of textures, colors, light and organic shapes seek to restore natural harmony. The existing walls were covered with wood panels, including a pattern inspired by wood that had been submerged for several years. The high ceilings ensure a feeling of spaciousness in the 230 m² space. In the background, the Moleca armchair by Sergio Rodrigues covered in suede. The paintings are by Gelson Radaelli.

Urban Oasis - Mariana Ordahy. Real or imaginary oases, when achieved, are a guarantee of peace and aesthetic pleasure. With this proposal, this contemporary and minimalist space combines a living area and lavatories. The large Balaton sofa is made of green leather and is supported by Iron stools, by designer Maurício Bomfim. Above, the brushed steel shelf provides space for the hanging garden. On the opposite side, the brushed marble countertop houses DECA crockery and metalware.

Estar Natural Swimming Pool - Canario & Tesche. The almost 500m² garden is a natural extension of the house. The 45m² living area is located next to the natural pool, with plants, stones, waterfall and white sand. The deck was built with Itaúba wood, which received a grayish finish, with the retractable screen controlling the lighting. The landscaping is by architect Daniele Colombo.

The Living Room - Livia Bortoncelo. The space represents the search for quality of life, facing the accelerated passage of time. The symmetrical composition is evident with the two Valentino sofas, with a limestone fireplace in the center in Mocca Cream. Linen curtains, Designers Guild wallpaper and finishes in champagne and pearl tones bring even more comfort. The painting Metamorphose is by the artist Juliano Lopes.

Hygge - HB Interiores. The Danish expression that gives the space its name represents coziness, contentment, well-being. Everything found in this 45 m² space. The layout encourages enjoyable activities such as talking, reading, feeling the heat of the fire. Contact with nature emanates from the wooden floor, the rustic natural stone wall, linen, suede and leather fabrics. On one side, Tiss chair from Studio Zanini. On the other, Virtus armchair by Emerson Borges. The Sim ceiling lamp is designed by R&E Bouroullec for Flos.

Art Room - Renato Melo. Anita Malfatti, Tarsila do Amaral, Victor Brecheret, Di Cavalcanti, Burle Marx, Iberê Camargo, Alfredo Ceschiatti, Carybé, Alfredo Volpi, Tomie Ohtake. The list of great names represented by their works in this space is extensive, showing how an art lover displays his collection. The illuminated bookcase has colorful niches and shelves from the line developed by stylist Isabela Capeto. The Lev sofa, by Studio América, and the Sly lamp, by Ronald Sasson, reveal that careful attention is also given to the choice of objects.

Brazilian Room - Caroline Kreling. The space celebrates Brazilian design and its heritage, offering visitors a recent overview. It brings together iconic pieces such as the Bola de Latão armchairs by Lina Bo Bardi, alongside more contemporary creations. Among them, the Elle overhead sideboard by Jader Almeida, combined with the painting by Paulo Pasta; and the Nada se Leva sideboard, together with the painting by Xandalú. In the center, a table by Estúdio Bola. Characteristic Brazilian materials are valued, such as Pau Ferro wood, brass and natural straw.

Cozinha Prosa Entre Vinhos - Espaço 3 Arquitetura. Reframing the experiences lived in a kitchen, the environment aims at multifunctionality and an invitation to stay. It seeks to serve as a stage for the user's different moments, in which practicality and agility are necessary. But it can also be a place for interaction and pleasure, that is, a good conversation while tasting a good wine.

Le Blanc Intimate Living Room - Gustavo and Carol Heck. Brazilian furniture meets French classics. On the floor, natural Cumaru wood planks were laid in a herringbone pattern. Some walls were covered with woodwork and boiseries applications, while others received stretched screens. A highlight is the wall sculpture Pétalas, by the Heck Arquitetura office, made of reused illuminated translucent stones.

Luiz's Room - Izabela Pagani. The 31 m² space pays homage to Luis Fernando Verissimo and his universe, which includes interests such as journalism, chronicles, drawings and music. Several pieces of furniture are made of Pau Ferro, a wood used in the production of musical instruments. The Clev coffee table was designed by Luan Del Savio, in carbon steel with a jequitibá veneer. In the background, above the acrylic bench, the painting Uma Mãe Extremosa, by Glauco Rodrigues, portrays the writer's family. The same wall features photos and other works from Luis's personal collection. The Verissimo armchair was inspired by the place where his father, Erico, corrected his manuscripts. It was produced by Studio Ha.Fatto in green velvet.

Private Room - Eliana Machado and Isadora Machado. In this living room with TV, the upholstered panel ensures acoustic comfort. The ceiling has a pearlescent finish in automotive lacquer, which was an experiment created by the office, which designed all the furniture - including the sofa. In some areas, Pau Ferro veneer was applied with a high-gloss finish, softening the height of the ceiling for a cozy feel.

Dinner with Friends - Graziella Yllana Hecher and Rodolfo De Conto Hecher. In the 33 m² space, the central island is the main meeting point. It was cut like a rare crystal, in Montblanc Quartzite, completing the table. Natural wood appears on practically all surfaces, exploring different shades of pau ferro, ipê, oak and marquetry techniques, among other finishes. The glass engraving is signed by Cabral. The white marble sculpture is by Xico Stockinger.

LaVie en Rose - Andrea Magalhães. A modern living room with romantic references is the intention of the project. To create this atmosphere, the architect combined wood with coverings such as marble, lacquer with a matte and glossy finish. Natural straw and the classic lacquer boiseries on the walls coexist naturally. Some walls were covered in natural leather. The Sintra sofa and armchair come in the company of Bruno Faucz coffee tables.

Intimate Room - Vanessa Luft. With just 19 m², this versatile space allows for various activities, such as reading, resting, enjoying the fireplace and being alone or with the family. All walls were finished in high-gloss lacquer, a material that also contributes to acoustic comfort. Another highlight is the large volume suspended in marble, on the wall that houses the alcohol fireplace. On the opposite side, the photograph Praia Branca is by São Paulo native Luciano Mota.

Family Library - Andreia Winter. To connect with yourself and the readings, an environment with earthy tones, indirect light and the vibration of nature in natural bricks. Nature Suite - Fernanda Paim and Elisa Martins. In addition to nature, ballet is the passion of the girl who lives in this space. The coziness comes from the authentic materials, such as reclaimed bricks, burnt cement on the floor and natural stone details in the bathroom. Master Suite Couple's Cocoon - Rogério Pandolfo. Natural materials create a refuge, combined with the property's valued features. The striking texture of the demolition bricks was revealed on the wall, and the original windows are another highlight. The Italian-designed bed and the bathtub are close together and occupy the same space, with neutral tones ensuring visual fluidity. The bronze sculpture above the bed is by artist Gustavo Nakle.

Sheraton Concept Suite - Bibiana Menegaz. Based on the essential characteristics of a hotel, the project provides the traveler with a space of belonging. The warm tones of the wood are accentuated by efficient lighting, at the same time as geometries appear in the tapestries. Notice that, above the woody panels, the solid bricks remind us of the history of the original space. Artist Cristina Dalligna paints paintings inspired by Porto Alegre.

Linear House - Renato Ferrari. Linearity was the solution found to organize all the spaces in a house measuring 3 meters wide by 18 meters long, totaling 56 m². To break the pattern, the kitchen was placed between the dining room and the living room, establishing itself as the heart of the house. To further optimize the area, the lighting was distributed in gaps in the walls, as an additional geometric element. The flooring was made of reforested Tauari.

Couple's Home Office - Quadriarq. A space to work and, at the same time, relax and connect with nature, in a proposal that affirms biophilic design. In these 18 m², the impression is of being in the attic of your home, with comfort and chosen pieces. Among them, the Flow table, created by the office, occupies a prominent place. The Ângela chair is by Aristeu Pires. In lighting, pieces designed by Jader Almeida, such as Penn and Memory.

CasaVinteCinco LG - Juarez Cruz . To adapt to the constant mutations and evolutions of everyday life, the environment is balanced by the strength of simple lines and dualities of colors. Textures embrace authenticity, like the Kouros stone that dresses some walls. Another pillar is technology, as everything can be controlled via cell phone and voice. In the furniture, there are few good pieces. Among them, white dominates in the Kazz armchair, by Luan Del Salvio, and the Choice sofa, by Studio Ha.Fatto.

Baby Studio - Modi Arquitetura. The newborn's room also makes life easier for parents with a functional layout and carpentry. Some ideas show the space's durability, such as the mezzanine for future playtime. Two references to early 20th century design are surprising, such as the Vegas crib and the Art Deco hanging armchair, in galvanized steel.

Staircase of the House - Melina Knopp. The meaning of home is about welcoming, even in this 52 m² space. Castaine-toned wood panels contrast with the Calacata marble on the floor and staircase. In the mirror, a reflection of the pendant created by the architect, with 250 suspended glass pieces. The Antelope Canyon painting is by artist André Bastian.

Art Store - Voilà Studio. The professionals show the history of the building by exposing the structures and peeling walls, with some surfaces renewed in earthy tones. The arches of the garden inspired the shape of the doors in the space, taking advantage of the revival of this element of architecture from the 1950s. Tables and benches were created by the office itself, using real rock and metalwork.

Adega e Boulevard Gastronomia - JGS Arquitetos Associados. The space was inspired by ancient castles and grape-growing regions in Europe. Every inch of the 110 m² is well used with the help of the carpentry - even the ceiling is used to store labels. It explores the contemporary nature of MDF, with a three-dimensional effect of mineral patterns of granite and marble.

Oliva Gourmet DECA - Lineastudio Arquitetura. The architecture of the space establishes a formal and material relationship with the food. The table occupies a semi-circle and invites you to celebrate. In the center, the natural olive tree is the tree that gives the space its name. Above, the screen with a diameter of 3.6 meters is responsible for the lighting. The Dinna chairs are by Jader Almeida.

Pane Pizza - Luciana Pestana. The industrial style prevails in this pizzeria, which is just 32 m². Metal, wood and bricks with iron mesh overlays were used for the cladding, softened by green frames and directional lighting in warm tones.

Oslo Living Bar - Oslo Architectural Office. The exposed bricks bring an immediate feeling of welcome in this space that resembles a house, measuring 53 m². The low light from Sebastian Wrong's lamps, from Flos, makes the atmosphere more intimate and convivial around Francisco Pinto's tables.

Yard Cafe - Márcio Moreira, Samantha Diefenbach, Magali Montani and Michele Ravadeli. This 90 m² café-bistro, with French and tropical inspiration, recreates the garden of the old hospital. Vibrant tones reflect Le Corbusier's theory of polychromatic architecture, such as the deep green ceiling, earthy orange walls and pinkish gray boiseries. Colors that combined with exposed concrete, cumaru wood, metal and leather, present on surfaces and furniture. Several pieces are signed by Aristeu Pires. In the background, painted porcelain plates highlight the importance of women in the origins of these small restaurants.

Tri Suave Lavatory - Marilia Zimmermman. The starting point came from the architecture of the historic building, with its sequential arched balconies, mentioned in the mirrors in the room. Another inspiration came from the favorite colors of the year, which star in the space. The lighting plays the role of bringing movement and depth. Note the floor with small porcelain tiles in six shades, from the JoyMz collection, designed by the architect.

Commercial Space (Fibraplac) - Helade Lorenzoni. Resting area, selfie area and contemporary architecture with references to Art Deco offer visitors a pleasant experience with the brand. The space was developed inside the MDF box in the Walnut pattern, while the flooring reuses reclaimed wood. The large format photographs are by Fabio Petry.

EG Experience Arauco - Jéssica Santos. The environment was designed to bring the chef closer to his audience at gastronomy events. Hence the intimate and daring atmosphere. The most important periods of her career are reflected in the space, from the Belle Époque to Art Deco. These are reflected in the metal lacquered bookcase and the porcelain desk with gold trim. Another striking detail is the hand-made curtain with metal links.

Professionals bring a psychoanalytic approach to space and show how people capture and relate to environments in an instinctive, particular way. The conversation atmosphere is provided by the Beto armchairs, by Sergio Rodrigues. At the top, Dear Ingo pendant, by Moooi. A sustainable coating based on cement, wood dust and resins was applied to the floor.

Melamine coverings in the Louro Freijó pattern match cement slabs and contemporary designed furniture. Mirrors enhance the function of dividers, which also contribute to visual breadth. Casa Roma - Francisco Franck. The name refers to the concept of international architecture and the pieces that draw from the source of Italian design. Some examples are the Bernard sofa by Ricardo Bardal, as well as the Canoe bench and the Open armchairs, both by Marcelo Ligieri. The lamps are also from the birthplace of design, from brands such as Flos, Foscarini and Fontana Arte. In the background, floors in golden Peroba Rose and walls covered in leather, quartzite and granite in large slabs.

Unique - Aclaene Mello and Gabriela Ordahy. In this unique space, all the furniture is signed, either by the architects or designed by Bruno Faucz (Patagônia armchair), Ana Revello and Renato Salvio (Buon Giorno dresser). Some walls were intentionally left unfinished, which gave it a sophisticated and provocative feel. To balance it out, there is a sculptural panel made of MDF slats. The curation of works of art is also a strong point, featuring original paintings by Tomie Ohtake, Paulo Becker and other names.

Felicità - Joana Deicke and Maria Manoela Bento Pereira. Living and office share 56 m², displaying the warmth of wood in the lattices that dress the walls and in the Tauari parquet flooring. Another natural material that stands out is brushed Donatelo marble, which occupies the side of the space where the fireplace is located. The table is designed by Ronald Sasson, who also designed the armchair.

Casulo nº5 - Casulo Arq Design. The number 5 represents sensations and transformations, which makes perfect sense in this fragrance store. The shelves and stools by J.Marcon lend versatility to the space. The experience is realized in the interaction with noble materials, such as Roman Travertine marble and the handmade Moroccan stone lamps by Marcele Muraro.

The 49 environments at CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul weave a natural prose, which moves between rustic materials and bright, striking colors. Its down-to-earth character proposes true, close and tangible architecture. Its familiarity has concrete roots, as it takes over the Hospital da Criança Santo Antônio, in Porto Alegre – which, unoccupied since 2002, is the city's historic heritage. The close relationship it shares with the region is preserved, even if restored in a new guise. A headquarters that moves between the past and the future , as we have already anticipated here.

Don't lose sight

In the 2019 edition, raw and oatmeal were chosen as basic tones. They work against exposed bricks and marked tones of blue, red and green – in addition to a vibrant plurality of colors that illuminate the edition as a whole. Wooden finishes and furniture reappear on different occasions, revealing an appreciation for the timelessness of the material and the Brazilianness it conveys. In fact, made in Brazil is strengthened in the professionals' view, talking to references to classic French and Italian design, among other sources.
