What is essential to you? Each person knows what is truly important to them. Architect Camila Ribeiro Cury proposed this reflection and shows the result at CASACOR Ribeirão Preto 2019, at Loft Essencial. For her, being with her family is the main thing - and this affection is the starting point of the project. The loft integrates comfortable and meaningful living areas, with objects that bring back memories, expressive pieces, irresistible textures and plenty of comfort. A welcoming feeling that gains strength in the combination of materials and colors that visually warm up the space. The warm palette features tones such as ochre, caramel and raw beige, derived from natural wood. The material is omnipresent in the ceiling, joinery and window frames.
The woven doors open and allow the entire space to receive natural light and views of the garden. The green of the outdoor area contrasts with the neutral ambiance, and one natural element enhances the other. The presence of plants, in fact, is essential. to ensure thermal comfort, controlling humidity and temperature.
On one of the walls, a bookcase with a glass panel and a window was fitted. The intention was to frame the landscape and transform it into a privileged backdrop. Also note the mix of materials, with different touches of leather, natural fibers, wood, glass. Precisely for this reason, the result is more linked to the contemporary style than to the rustic, preserving simplicity.
The kitchen, the meeting point of the house, is just a few steps from the living room. With no visual barriers, it continues the cozy proposal. The color palette, the use of wood and the clean design of the furniture remain in the functional space, which also expands the living area.
Since the wooden ceiling adds extra weight to the visual aspect, the option was to use a more horizontal arrangement of loose furniture and carpentry. Therefore, instead of cabinets on the upper half of the wall, hooks were used to keep some utensils close at hand. .
