24---BOYS-ROOM-casacor-parana-2017
02/41 -

Boy's Room - Marcelo Lopes. With one of the walls covered in linen, the space exudes comfort. Not to mention the exclusivity of the rug, which stands out against the black and gray base, which affirms the intimacy intended in the project.

11---ENTRANCE HALL-ARAUCO-casacor-parana-2017
03/41 -

Arauco Entrance Hall - Luiz Maganhoto and Daniel Casagrande. Gold is the star of the show and immediately evokes French luxury, which is given a contemporary touch. Arauco's Golden coating enhances the walls. And the lighting that escapes from the sides of the panels ensures a clean result.

08---FUNCTIONAL-WASHROOM-casacor-parana-2017
04/41 -

Functional Lavatory - Eloisa Pasternak Montemezzo and Marcel Takahira Morimitsu. Three-dimensional coverings are the main trend highlighted, as are the metallic details that emerge like jewels in this composition. The matte brown ceramics are from Deca and reinforce the sobriety of the proposal. The side table uses a rustic wooden board.

07---GOURMET-BARKROW-casacor-parana-2017
05/41 -

Gourmet Barbecue Grill - Maria Alice Crippa and Gustavo Assis. The first difference of the project, with 36m², is to move away from the traditional rustic. The simplicity of the design is represented by the dining table with a raw wood top, the iron shelves and the stone support bench. The lighting is designed with slits in the plaster and LED strips.

22---ZEN-SPACE-casacor-parana-2017
06/41 -

Home SPA - Katleen Luizaga. The walls are decorated with wood panels in freijó laurel and a texture designed by artist Marilene Ropelato, with the Thai touch desired by the professional. The Amiata soaking tub, made of volcanic rock and high-performance resin, maintains the water temperature for longer. The metal line is Gold, by Deca.

20---BABY'S-ROOM-casacor-parana-2017
07/41 -

Baby's Room - Janaina Macedo. All eyes turn to the crib, with its wooden headboard and illuminated resin onyx panel, as well as a rock crystal chandelier. The Louis XVI style of the furniture is in tune with the boiseries on the walls and the parquet floor, original to the property. Fabrics such as jacquard and Egyptian cotton accentuate the nobility, in shades of pearl and antique pink.

05---FOZ-DO-IGUAÄU-DESTINATION-OF-THE-WORLD-casacor-parana-2017
08/41 -

Foz do Iguaçu, a World Destination - Marcelo Lopes. The city was part of the architect's childhood, and he adopts a minimalist style. Straight lines, neutral coverings and carpentry without excesses form the setting that receives furniture made of reused materials and natural fibers, which portray the eclecticism of the region.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
15---LIVING-AND-DINING-ROOM-casacor-parana-2017
09/41 -

Living and Dining Room - Viviane Loyola. The Ariston marble TV panel reveals the intentional nobility of the project, which also features Cafe Latte-colored woodwork. The suspended iron shelves and glass coffee table bring lightness.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
25---FIREPLACE-AND-TV-ROOM-casacor-parana-2017
10/41 -

Fireplace and TV room - Alessandra Gandolfi. The architect enhanced the natural slope of the ceiling with the Arauco wooden slatted panel, which disguises the LED lamps, wires and speakers close to the projection screen. The volume in Perlato Paraná marble, with an anti-scratch finish, houses the fireplace. The design by Jader Almeida and Ronald Sasson controls the furniture, as well as the Natuzzi Edition adjustable sofa.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
17---FUNCTIONAL-WASHROOM-casacor-parana-2017
11/41 -

Functional Lavabo - Janaína Marques and Jennyfer Gotardo. The space is 9m², but the duo didn't skimp on natural greenery. On the ceiling, the eye finds the illuminated hollow panel, while the bench with drawers was made with porcelain tiles that imitate marble. The Liz White coating brings relief to the walls, and the gold on the mirror frames contrasts with the matte brown of the Deca sinks.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
10---RENAULT-GARAGE-2-casacor-parana-2017
12/41 -

Renault Garage - Margit Soares. The alternation of depths in the coverings and the woody tones bring to the fore the striking and fluid lines of the Renault Captur.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
18---STAIRS-AND-UPPER-CIRCULATION-casacor-parana-2017
13/41 -

Staircase and Circulation - Josy Melo. The laminated wooden floor and linen covering the walls keep the area warm, while the delicate lighting favors the appreciation of the works of art. Sunlight is incorporated and increases contact with nature in the 40m² space.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
19---COUPLE-SUITE-casacor-parana-2017
14/41 -

Couple's Suite - Helena and Letícia Rolim de Moura. With variations of white, gray and gold, the duo developed a sophisticated space. In carpentry, Arauco's MDF has a fabric texture. Indirect light is an asset, combined with automation to create diverse scenes. The fireplace was framed by the marble portal, which includes a reflective mirror to hide the TV when turned off.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
23---GIRL'S-SUITE-casacor-parana-2017
15/41 -

Girl's Suite - Michele Krauspenhar. Well planned and aimed at a contemporary woman, it translates the proposal into straight lines and a soft color palette. Nude, gray and gold tones balance the various textures, which include a linen headboard, leather side table and light wood warming up the walls.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
38---LOUNGE-LINK-casacor-parana-2017
16/41 -

Lounge Link - Gisela Carnasciali Miró and Rafael Carvalho. The living room and bar are integrated into the container, customized with a glass façade and wood-effect MDF up to the ceiling. The alcohol-fueled fireplace with a backlit stone base is the center of attention, but 2017 trends also steal the show: curved sofas, velvet and Greenery green, as well as copper lamps.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
16---KITCHEN-casacor-parana-2017
17/41 -

Kitchen - Christian and Richard Schonhofen. With 22m², it is where everyone meets in the house, around the Pagliarino marble island. The coldness of the material is offset by the vinyl flooring on the floor and the herringbone covering on the walls. Also notice the LED lighting in the cabinets, which leaves everything on display.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
27---HOME-THEATER-casacor-parana-2017
18/41 -

Home Theater - Samara Barbosa. The ceiling is completely covered with a 300-kilogram wooden board, supported by a metal structure. In addition to housing the light points, the feature contributes to excellent acoustics, as do the upholstered panels on the walls. Speakers were built into them.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
09---BOOKSTORE-casacor-parana-2017
19/41 -

Bookstore - Vânia Toledo Martins. Books are at hand and gain importance against the walls, ceiling and curtains in intimate tones. The floor was also neutralized with vinyl flooring. The care extends to the careful choice of furniture and accessories, such as the Dwarf bench, by Philippe Starck.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
14---BAR-casacor-parana-2017
20/41 -

Bar Elementos - Laryssa Rocha, Filipe Dal Passo and Priscila Mileke. With just 17m², it looks more like a cave. Professionals use the low light to their advantage and accentuate the intimacy with lowered plaster and sober tones. The color palette standardizes the mix of materials used, such as the new natural wood flooring and the charcoal stencil stone columns. The invitation to relax is undeniable, with a Charles Eames leather armchair and ottoman.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
12---CIRCULATION-casacor-parana-2017
21/41 -

Circulation - Cynthia Karas. Light wood on the floor and vegetation bring a natural touch, without losing sight of the simplicity. The intention, after all, is to draw the eye to art, design and creativity, in a place that is not limited to a passageway.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
35---LOUNGE-GOURMET-casacor-parana-2017
22/41 -

Gourmet Lounge - Sandro Percicotti. Industrial style takes on a sophisticated feel in this 120m² space. Original features, such as the original metal structure, are combined with materials such as Clicquot-colored lacquer and giant sheets of translucent porcelain on the walls. The large space allowed for other luxuries, such as the 7-meter-long table.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
06---BEER-BAR-VEKA-casacor-parana-2017
23/41 -

Beer Bar Veka - Eduardo Mourão. Intimate and functional: two fundamental concepts in the 60m² project. The space is delimited by large glass panels and brings the warmth of wooden slats and natural parquet flooring. The curved sofa was designed by the architect.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
30---CIRCULATION-HALL-AND-SOCIAL-TOILET-casacor-parana-2017
24/41 -

Circulation Hall and Social Toilet - Jane Rocha and Suzane Simon. To awaken the senses, the duo created an optical illusion using mirrors - which also multiply the lighting effects and angles. Metallics are the focus, both in the Hunter Douglas Wovin panel, in the hallway, and in the cables that support the textured countertop.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
37---LOUNGE-AVEX-casacor-parana-2017
25/41 -

Avex Lounge - Renata Pisani. Socializing, entertaining friends, watching a movie. These are just some of the many activities available in the heart of the house, with a cozy modular sofa and lots of wood on the walls. Indirect lighting accentuates the comfort, combined with neutral tones. In the center, the arrangement of tables offers extra support for objects and glasses.

(Daniel Sorrentino)

(Daniel Sorrentino)
26---TROPHY ROOM-Casacor-Parana-2017
28/41 -

Trophy Room - Flavia Meyer, Fernanda Menosso Ratani and Priscila Gabrielly. The achievements of the Jockey Club of Paraná are remembered in this space of just 13.41 m². Trophies fill the shelves in corten steel with glass niches, in the custom carpentry and highlighted by LED lighting. Natural textures, such as shawls on the window and the reed base of the table, add a cozy touch.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
40---ORGANIC-EMPORIO-casacor-parana-2017
29/41 -

Organic Emporium - Luiz Maingué. The Organic armchair by Michael CK Chan steals the show in the 60m² space, where industrial elements prevail. The construction was carried out using the Woodframe system, for a faster construction and with less waste.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
42---LOUNGE-RIO-QUENTE-casacor-parana-2017
30/41 -

Rio Quente Lounge - Michelle Felicetti and Rodrigo Garcia. Introspective colors and natural textures were captured from the typical architecture of the Goiás savannah. This is the resort's exclusive service, so comfort was prioritized with poufs, blankets and armchairs. The living room is completed by the simplicity of MDF with a concrete appearance applied to the walls and the corten steel panel.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
33---CAFE-casacor-parana-2017
31/41 -

Café - Walkiria Nossol. The space is made with subtle lighting from linen lampshades and other elegant pieces, on a graphite base. The color is also present in the natural wood floor, dyed and textured by hand, and in the cement ceiling. Another material that stands out is the velvet on the chairs, which confirms the color green as a trend.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
39---LOUNGE-INSTALLATION-casacor-parana-2017

(Daniel Sorrentino)
03---GARDEN-OF-ARTS-casacor-parana-2017
33/41 -

(Daniel Sorrentino)
13---MAIN-LIVING-casacor-parana-2017
34/41 -

Living Principal - Ana Claudia Marini and Camila Matinez. Arauco panels refer to exposed concrete and give an urban look. On other walls, natural wood was not used. The coverings match the restored original floor and the marble on the sideboards. The leather sofa extends the conversation for longer and, to finish it off, the Spun armchair, by designer Thomas Healtherwick.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
36---THE-HOUSE-SHOP-casacor-parana-2017
35/41 -

The House Store - Eliana Cunha. The building's facets anticipate the store's interior design. The geometric shapes, solids and voids, control the volumes, which gain strength with the lighting and interaction with the landscaping. In the ambiance, vinyl flooring and wooden ceilings warm up the space, combined with fine fabrics such as silk and velvet.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
32---WASHROOM-FOR-HIM-AND-HER-casacor-parana-2017
36/41 -

Lavatory for Eles & Elas - Neliza Ferraz de Mello Gonçalves and Nathalia Silva. The project is inspired by the work “Desvio para o vermelho: impregnação, entorno, sentido”, by Cildo Meireles, from the Inhotim collection, in Minas Gerais. On the floor, the high-pressure melamine laminate with few joints ensures continuity. On the walls, the choice was an equally resistant and easy-to-clean laminate. The canvas Encontro, by the artist Catenzaro, features a collage of paper cutouts.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
21---GIRL'S-ROOM-casacor-parana-2017
37/41 -

Girl's Bedroom - Melissa Dallegrave Afonso. Scandinavian style reigns supreme in this 11-year-old girl's bedroom. Bright, with soft tones and straight lines, it seems much larger than its 19m². The floor and walls are covered in the same light-colored vinyl. The window is reminiscent of the sloping roofs of the Nordic style.

(Daniel Sorrentino)

38/41 -

(Daniel Sorrentino)
04---TOY LIBRARY-casacor-parana-2017
40/41 -

(Daniel Sorrentino)

41/41 -

The feeling is of being on a balcony, with the comfort of handmade tables and chairs. But the main element, without a doubt, is the generous gas fireplace.

(Daniel Sorrentino)
The former administrative headquarters of the Jockey Club of Paraná is home to the second oldest horse racing entity in Brazil and is now hosting the 24th edition of CASACOR Paraná . The 42 rooms pay homage to the iconic building, listed as a historical heritage site, while also proposing a retrofit that incorporates 2017 trends in architecture, decoration and landscaping. Sustainability is also clear in the use of ecological materials, in the alcohol-fueled fireplaces and in the construction processes that minimize waste. , reinforcing that the focus on what is essential involves respecting nature. In projects, minimalism is key. A synthesis of refined lines, measured selection of colors, and specific textures are mentioned in spaces that, for the most part, tend towards sobriety.
