Central Room - Dodora Gontijo. The verticality of the space was used to the advantage of the project, which works with well-designed proportions. Low furniture expands the space, such as the coffee table by Cláudia Moreira Salles. The partial painting of the walls, with a metallic texture, also highlights the high ceiling. In fact, there are canvases on the walls that coexist with the luxurious Aubusson tapestry.

Baby's Room – Marco Reis-casacor-minas-gerals-2017
02/43 -

Baby's Room - Marco Reis. Designed for two children, the space is the result of a study of the Montessori method. Therefore, it favors elements that stimulate the autonomy and curiosity of little ones, with low furniture and a geometric layout. Technocement floor and ceiling highlight the freijó wood furniture, which includes the bed on a low platform. The changing table was carved from porcelain and includes a little flag.

Bookstore/Balcony - Ferreira Arquitetura. Camila Ferreira designed the project, with original wooden walls and ceiling covered in a dry leaf tone. She also designed the shelves, with a black trestle structure and a rusty steel base. Two hanging rails provide lighting and break up the formality, as does the foliage carpet.

Backyard Kitchen – Ana Paula Rohlfs-casacor-minas-gerals-2017
04/43 -

Backyard Kitchen - Ana Paula Rohlfs. Scrap steel sheets form the backdrop of this space, inspired by old farms. Here, neither the floor nor the ceiling were sanded. The wood-burning stove was revisited, with trivets fixed in Neolith - the same material as the central block, which houses the cooktop. The table extends the island and was designed by the architect.

Balcony Green - Droysen Tomich, Marcelo Dias and Octávio Davis. On the walls of the mansion, rebar screens and 3D cement plates were interspersed. Iron ore was applied to the floor. The space becomes more cozy with the color palette in shades of blue, yellow and a touch of gray in the nautical rope armchairs.

Guaja Sapucaí - Guaja + Porch. A place for cultural programming, the space is also open to collaborative experiences. Instead of an architectural project, Lucas Durães, Sarah Kubistchek, Pedro Haruf, Gabriel Nardelli and Marcos Franchini imagined a non-deterministic process, which dilutes the authorship of the design with more than 100 architecture and design professionals and students. A striking element are the aerial orchids of the Vandas species, symbolizing ideas that flourish.

Essential Suite - CR Studio. Patrícia Urquiola's bed and the 1.3m diameter chandelier with illuminated spheres attract the attention of those who enter the room. They stand out against the neutral walls in dark tones. To complete the look, Carolina and Roberta Robson included the quartzite fireplace, which can be enjoyed together with the pair of Italian-design armchairs.

Wine Room - Camile Guedes. Velvet sofa and Italian leather armchairs ensure comfort and accentuate the tactile appeal. But the highlight is the elegance of the wall with houndstooth pattern.

Gourmet Studio - Maurício Bomfim. Designed as a living room, it has an industrial concept. Therefore, it uses metal structures in the furniture and takes advantage of the ceiling without artifices to distribute intimate lighting.

Central Hall/Staircase - Lena Pinheiro. The iconic rosewood staircase connects three central halls, which have been given a concise design, with elements that reflect the building and bring a modern touch. A good example are the street posters that make up a graphic panel on the walls. Here, on the second floor, the sofa with a floral print steals the show.

Functional Kitchen Santa Cruz Finishes - Gabriela Azeredo and Patrícia Pires. The porcelain countertop is large enough to include a cooktop and continues onto the large wooden table. Surrounded by benches, it is an invitation to enjoy the food. The wooden floor is original, as is the exposed ceiling. And the new coverings reinforce the personality of the mansion, such as the porcelain tile with a brick texture.

Decompression Room - Pedro Lázaro. Everything here is in line with the concept of circular economy, such as the materials that allow the architectural object to be reused. Steel is a key element, applied in a sustainable and modern way to convey lightness in the place of relaxation at work.

Entrance Gardens - Carla Pimentel and Marina Pimentel. Plants could be a maximum of 80 cm tall, among other rules observed when intervening in a listed heritage site. Nothing that intimidated the duo, who thought of the colorful and aromatic composition of foliage, orange Kinkan, Basil, Lavender and other species.

Entrance Balcony/Ticket Office - Ana Paula Pereira, Marcelo Martins and Thales Lucchesi. On the outside, minimal interventions were made to highlight the building's history. The furniture has a functionalist design - a premise followed throughout the project, designed to guide the flow of visitors in an intuitive manner.

Loft - Cássio Gontijo Arquitetura e Decoração. The partition that appears to be made of marble is actually glass. It stands out against the wood used on the ceiling and floor, bringing personality to the space. Integrated, it allows you to see the bed with Italian design.

Stage Lighting Guaja Sapucaí - Pedro Pederneiras. Intimacy and simplicity guide the lighting, which is always an experiment and can gain other nuances over time. The light here is always low, creating a comfortable shadow that enhances the stage.

Espaço Games - Renata Ferreira. The characteristics of the popular game Minecraft are in the chandelier and the laser-cut panel, which simulates a computer circuit. The space, designed for children aged 5 to 12, does not dispense with comfort - the table is height adjustable.

Cook - Isabela Bethônico. The name comes from the small size of the space, which overflows with feelings and memories. A private universe that brings warm colors, the beauty of natural greenery and shelves that leave all the objects on display, among other simple and accessible details.

Facade Lighting - Atiaîa Design. Mariana Novaes opted for a warm and dim light that accentuates the volume of the construction and best reveals the actions of time in the building. It also restores the lighting from original pendants and poles, while suggesting directing visitors to the ticket office and moving from one block of the building to another.

Home Theater - Danielle Bellini. The modern and cozy air comes from the beige and coffee tones. The space, which includes a bar, is even more comfortable with acoustic treatment - the covering of one wall is also applied to the ceiling. Also noteworthy is the lightness of the furniture, which brings the metallic trend to the scene.

Home Office - Cláudia Martins. Much more than a work environment, the space suggests other uses. TV, wine cellar and a comfortable caramel sofa invite you to relax. The open bookcase acts as a divider and reserves the work surface. Another interesting feature is the black paint on the ceiling, which gives depth and coziness, as well as a perfect contrast with the wood.

Plataforma 8 Café - CLS Arquitetura. The houndstooth-print sofa is the center of attention. Everything happens around it, where tables and chairs with straw backs have been distributed. Kivia and Graziela Costa, Zuleica Lombardi and Erika Stekelberg finish with the beautiful Rede lamp by Ingo Maurer.

At Agnes's Table - Farkasvolgyi Arquitetura. The loom-covered ceiling attracts attention. The composition created by Bernardo Farkasvolgyi has more than 800 strands that, in a straight line, would total more than 10km. The lounge, with a set of sofas, serves as a bar and represents the flexibility of the furniture. The hegemony is warm tones and wood, which is present on the floor.

Toilet Box - PAR3 - Architecture.Decoration.Design. Three bathrooms - male, feline and for people with reduced mobility - were built in the 6m X 2.40m container. On the walls, Sheila and Mira Mundim and Renata Paranhos used a naval fabric, typical of outdoor areas, which combines sophistication and durability.

Dressing Room - Mariana Nogueira. Two stories are connected in this space: the transformation of women and the evolution of residential spaces over the last century. The beams were maintained and the walls were updated with light gray patterned wallpaper. The dressing room and the red carpet bring a certain scenic appeal. Above, paintings by Rogério Fernandes.

Suite and Closet - Rosane Guedes. Without being bound by gender rules, the space prioritizes the couple's rest. To this end, it invests in lighting and soft tones, such as concrete. In addition to a modern look that explores volumes and shapes.

Leisure Station - Gislene Lopes. The play of light and shadows makes the outdoor area with gourmet space even more pleasant. The blue sofa guarantees relaxation, as do the water jets that flow from the deck into the pool. In fact, above the pool, a delicious daybed was fixed to the pergola.

Renault Garage - Nara Cunha. The selection of simple shapes and deep colors leaves no doubt as to the elegance of the vintage style. The curation of contemporary works, such as those by artists Franz Weissmann and Marcelo Sá, rounds things off.

Novo Mundo - The Art of Dressing in the 19th Century - João Lucas Pontes and Luis Gustavo Vieira. Wallpaper, precious chandeliers and classic furniture blend in with the wooden floor and the unlined ceiling. Thus, the contrast between luxury and simplicity symbolizes the cultural clash between Brazil and Europe in the 19th century. This is the period in which the soap opera Novo Mundo is set, whose costumes on display bring to light the habits and ways of dressing of that time.

Press Room - Pedro Lázaro. Carbon blue and pool green share the spotlight on the walls, as does orange - in fact, the roller blind disguises the smaller window and visually balances the space. In addition to the vibrant colors, the furniture from Nendo studio guarantees a good mood. To balance things out, the ceiling and window frames are in off-white.

Hall Galeria - Grid Arquitetos. In the project by Flávia Generoso and Luiza Ananias, the positioning of the mirror on the wall creates a horizontal expansion and a reflective play of the geometric elements existing in the space. Originally narrow and with high ceilings, the transition space begins to inspire interactive permanence.

Anteroom and Dining Room - Situar Arquitetura. The architecture of the mansion lives in harmony with the contemporary furniture, in the project by Júnia Bernarnos, Eduardo Henrique Brandão and Rosângela Brandão Mesquita. Two spaces are joined by the arched door - in the anteroom you can see the ceiling, peeling down to the original paint. In the dining room, the ceiling molding with friezes and the original parquet floor are joined by the modern gray wallpaper and the boldly designed pendant light.

Bathroom - Rodrigo Aguiar. The covering that evokes Carrara marble and the arched shapes leave no doubt as to the desire for nobility. The curved sofa is ultra-comfortable and matches the retro design of the rug. Also note the lighting that comes from the suspended baseboards.

The mansion at 383 Sapucaí Street , closed for over 10 years, is part of the Praça da Estação Architectural Complex and was an important example of the urban scene in the central region of the capital of Minas Gerais. Now its elegance, with a 1930s feel, is revealed and shared in the 41 spaces of CASACOR Minas . They are already full of memories, but they bring a contemporary look and the best of design, architecture and landscaping. The high ceilings, parquet floors, exposed beams and walls, among other elements, were reinterpreted under the supervision of the National Institute of Historic and Artistic Heritage (IPHAN). With such a rich setting, the trends were not simply absorbed: they were given a discreet and specific interpretation, which brings a sense of coherence and balance when walking through all the spaces. Visitors will find Art Deco-style details, curved retro sofas, industrial elements, a touch of classic marble and lighting that won't go unnoticed. Among the colors, don't forget to notice the greens, blues and especially the increasingly elegant pink, along with other new additions that you can see from now on. CASACOR MINAS SERVICE 2017 WHEN?
