Coined by psychotherapist Deb Dana, the term glimmermicrojoy in Portuguese — is defined as the opposite of triggers, according to the WGSN trend report, which outlines behavior predictions for 2026. The idea is that small moments of happiness and positivity in daily life can dispel negative emotions and create feelings of comfort and security. The study also describes that microjoys will become a fundamental survival tool in the face of ongoing global crises. The rising cost of living and the pressures of the rush culture to which we are constantly subjected will be even more rebutted and the celebration of life's small pleasures will become more frequent, according to the research. But how can this materialize? Through a simple personal reflection on what brings you immediate happiness. It could be a coffee break, a moment of play with your dog, minutes of meditation, a good read, or a healthy habit, for example. And home will be the ideal place for that. Inspired by this trend, we selected projects from the CASACOR 2025 exhibitions designed to celebrate daily small pleasures. Check them out below!

An oasis to call your own

Jean de Just - Alcove. CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2025 Project.

Jean de Just - Alcôve. Projeto da CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2025. (André Nazareth/CASACOR)

Designed by architect Jean de Just at CASACOR Rio de Janeiro, this project evokes an oasis where the search for balance among body, mind, and spirit is essential. The space offers a sensory experience, with massage rooms, meditation, garden, bathing areas, and a fireplace. Soft lighting, a palette of light tones, and organic shapes in the design were chosen deliberately to reinforce the atmosphere of serenity that the proposal requires. Notable is the use of plaster that creates portals, curved walls, and shelves, as well as drawing waves on the ceiling.

Modernist refuge

João Panaggio - Claro at the Paulistana House. Project of CASACOR São Paulo 2025.

Demolition wood, natural stones, and native species in landscaping compose the project of architect João Panaggio at CASACOR São Paulo, inspired by tropical modernism. A 20m clear span allows for multiple occupancy possibilities along with skylights that welcome natural light. One of the most desired corners of this small house is the bathroom integrated with the bedroom, featuring a glass block partition and an ethereal atmosphere, ideal for relaxing without rush.

Cooking and socializing

Cooking is a daily task, but it can also be a moment of relaxation for many people. Additionally, the kitchen is often a large gathering area, especially if it's an integrated project with the living room, like this created by interior designer Paola Ribeiro at CASACOR Rio de Janeiro. The professional was inspired by the idea of welcoming and cultivating real encounters in liquid times. Therefore, the decor balances the new and the vintage, along with organic shapes and raw materials, such as stone and wood.

Inspiring home office

Maycon Altera Studio - Fertile Silence. CASACOR Minas Gerais 2025 project.

Maycon Altera Studio - Silêncio Fértil. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2025. (Estúdio NY18/CASACOR)

By architect Maycon Altera for CASACOR Minas Gerais, this project was designed as an ecosystem that transforms according to the resident's desires. The wood — present in the structure, loose furniture, and shelves —, natural light, and plants create a restorative atmosphere. On the walls, artworks and objects reinforce its character as a place where working is also about reflecting, feeling, and imagining.

Plants and textures

PN+ | Paula Neder - The Room of Dreams. Project of CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2025.

PN+ | Paula Neder - O Quarto dos Sonhos. Projeto da CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2025. (André Nazareth/CASACOR)

Designed as an intimate refuge that combines comfort, aesthetics, and functionality, the project by architect Paula Neder at CASACOR Rio de Janeiro conveys serenity in every detail. Decorated with a palette of light tones, the space also reveals the prominent presence of stripes, varied textures, and bedding with a soft touch that elevate the experience of well-being. Natural light and organic materials — such as plants, wood, clay, burlap, ropes, and stones — complete the vibrant and cozy atmosphere.

A break, please

Betty Ibañez - Playa 25. Project of CASACOR Bolivia 2025.

Betty Ibañez - Playa 25. Projeto da CASACOR Bolívia 2025. (Alvaro Mier/CASACOR)

Landscape architect Betty Ibañez conceived this space in CASACOR Bolivia as an invitation for deep breathing, a pause, and integration with the surroundings. According to the professional, well-being here is not a luxury, but a right. The experience begins by stepping on the sand, continues with a dip in crystal-clear waters, and completes with textures and elements that celebrate nature.

Self-care space

Casa Nord Architects - Soul Suite. Project of CASACOR Santa Catarina | Itapema 2025.

Casa Nord Arquitetos - Suíte Alma. Projeto da CASACOR Santa Catarina | Itapema 2025. (Lio Simas/CASACOR)

This is a space dedicated to inner essence, created by the office Casa Nord Arquitetos for CASACOR Santa Catarina | Itapema. Each element was chosen to nurture the mind and spirit through clean design, soft curves, and natural materials that create an atmosphere of lightness and tranquility. In this corner, the idea is to take a moment for self-care, doing a good skincare or makeup.

No hurry

Dinah Lins - Loft Without Rush. Project of CASACOR Bahia 2025.

Architect Dinah Lins created a refuge that translates memories and feelings at CASACOR Bahia. The composition mixes classic and contemporary furniture, with objects full of meaning, such as photographs, paintings, and pieces that evoke lived experiences. Indirect lighting highlights the textures, invites contemplation, and reinforces the intimate atmosphere.

Reconnection space

Each element was chosen to connect people, inspire, and provide emotional support in the space created by architect Ian Carvalho in CASACOR Bahia. Natural light enters through the windows, where a composition of memories was created, alongside a strategically positioned armchair for moments of introspection and relaxation.

Comforting aromas

André Rocha and Tiago Rossi - Quintal de Dentro. Project of CASACOR Minas Gerais 2025.

André Rocha e Tiago Rossi - Quintal de Dentro. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2025. (Eudes Campomizzi/CASACOR)

Signed by the duo André Rocha and Tiago Rossi for CASACOR Minas Gerais, this yard was inspired by the Art Déco style, the exuberance of Italian clubs, and also the emotional memory of orchards. It is a space meant to arrive and stay for a while, enjoying the fruit trees that hold the sweet aroma of a good time. Lush foliage completes the refuge that celebrates the meeting of memories with contemporaneity.
