CASACOR Brasília: ON/OFF Loft combines technology and well-being
Finding a balance between technology and well-being is one of the challenges that the Alf Arquitetura office sought to overcome in the 28th edition of CASACOR Brasília . While completely disconnecting is unfeasible, the trend toward affective and natural design has been gaining a wave of admirers. Proof that one does not cancel out the other, the ON/OFF Loft combines natural elements such as wood and straw with digital experiences, such as the video wall — a set of high-definition screens with different transmission strategies.

According to André Alf, the creation of the space arose from the need to rethink contemporary life, “where connecting is a reality and disconnecting is a necessity”. “In a world of technology, where people live connected and access to information has become global, we seek to raise a crucial question: is it necessary to dedicate so much time to the virtual world?”

Right at the entrance, three paintings by Gabriel Wickbold welcome the visitor, with shades of blue and orange in a composition above the bed. Integrated, the loft leads to the living room and the gourmet space, designed to welcome friends in a relaxed and modern atmosphere. Wood is a prominent feature in the loft, as seen in the slatted paneling present on almost all the walls. The lacquer has a different blue tone, innovating in the gourmet area.

The space also has a water mirror that borders a hot tub and a natural garden, reinforcing the fact that disconnection can be achieved through elements of nature.
