Recently opened to the public, the
CASACOR Bahia 2025 debuted with projects filled with colors, textures, and creative decorations. Throughout the exhibition, the
details do not go unnoticed and inspire new
renovations or small changes in decoration. Therefore, we have prepared a selection of charming ideas for you to keep as a reference for the next transformation of your house or apartment.
1. Sticker over tiles
Marlon Gama Arquitetura - Raízes Líquidas – Espaço Deca. Projeto da CASACOR Bahia 2025. (Denilson Machado/CASACOR)
The project created by architect Marlon Gama translates the meeting of history, nature, and technology and showcases inspirations from the organic forms of water and the heritage of the Portuguese colonial houses in Bahia. One of the main elements that refer to this cultural characteristic is the famous Portuguese tiles, whose patterns were printed on an adhesive film, applied to square white tiles. According to Marlon, the idea was to present a simple and accessible concept in a sophisticated way. 2. Wallpaper at the top
Wesley Lemos - Saleta d’Arte. Projeto da CASACOR Bahia 2025. (Denilson Machado/CASACOR)
A creative atmosphere fills the project created by architect
Wesley Lemos at CASACOR Bahia. The professional presents an expressive set of works that articulate
contemporary art,
folk art, and symbolic expressions of
Afro-Brazilian religiosity. The curation reflects an ethical and aesthetic stance aligned with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, promoting inclusion, diversity, sustainability, and symbolic justice. The colors compose the perfect setting for this proposal, complemented by the unusual use of
wallpaper, installed at the top, combined with a similarly colorful ceiling.
3. Combine patterns!
João Gabriel - Ateliê de Tebas. Projeto da CASACOR Bahia 2025. (Bia Nauiack/CASACOR)
The architect João Gabriel brought a retrofuturistic aesthetic and mid-century design elements to his project at CASACOR Bahia 2025. The space functions as a creative studio that celebrates memory, resistance, and black permanence in architecture. Colors like green, mustard, and brown, along with preserved elements of the original property, connect the past and the present. Highlighting the wall painted with green stripes combined with the floor of decorative hydraulic tiles. 4. Bet on stripes!
Mázia Arquitetura e Interiores - Rito Selvagem. Projeto da CASACOR Bahia 2025. (Camila Santos/CASACOR)
The project signed by
Mázia Arquitetura e Interiores proposes a sensory experience for visitors. It was designed as an intimate sanctuary, where pause, reflection, listening, and transformation are cultivated. The cozy atmosphere emerges from the earthy color palette, highlighted by the white stripes, which provide contrast next to the bathroom doors.
5. Wine cellar in the wall
lan Carvalho - Family Room. Projeto da CASACOR Bahia 2025. (Bia Nauiack/CASACOR)
The architect Ian Carvalho created a narrative where poetry and affection promote a dive into the emotional origins of dreams. Among several creative ideas in his project, the standout is the bar cabinet, with seed-shaped doors, which holds golden objects symbolizing the vital energy of dreams. 6. Utilize the window
lan Carvalho - Family Room. Projeto da CASACOR Bahia 2025. (Bia Nauiack/CASACOR)
Another highlight of the project signed by
Ian Carvalho is the corner near the window. There, the professional positioned the Sergio Rodrigues armchair, with stools serving as side tables, and a charming composition of vases and other objects.
7. Spa in the bathroom
Nath Veloso Arquitetura - Suíte Entrelaços. Projeto da CASACOR Bahia 2025. (Camila Santos/CASACOR)
In earthy tones, the palette chosen by Nath Veloso offers coziness and sophistication, while establishing a balance between body, earth, and time. Natural elements complete the setting, bringing delicacy. In the bathing area, the bathtub is located close to the vegetation, ensuring total relaxation and reconnection with nature. 8. Female art
Gabriel Magalhães - Casa Madre. Projeto da CASACOR Bahia 2025. (Denilson Machado/CASACOR)
The loft created by architect Gabriel Magalhães was designed as the home of a contemporary, creative woman, and protagonist of her own story. The project preserved the original floor, ceiling, and walls, now chipped, that serve as a backdrop for an interesting art collection. Curated by Gabriela Daltro, this collection is a selection of contemporary female artistic production. The selection of artworks — which blends personal collections, vintage pieces, and authorship works by artists like Aline Brune, Cristina De Middel, Claudia Andujar, and Maureen Bisilliat — is in tune with the concept of the project. 9. Cutouts in the walls
Avelo Arquitetura - Living Vitória-Régia. Projeto da CASACOR Bahia 2025. (Bia Nauiack/CASACOR)
The
biomimicry and the concept of ancestral futurism inspired the duo Daniela Agulha and Luiza Gaspar in creating this living space, where the use of organic shapes,
textures, and solutions that respect the cycles of life stand out.
Arches created in the masonry between the projects and one of the walls bring lightness and reinforce the fluidity proposed by the professionals.
10. Tiles as protagonists
Neto Cunha Arquitetura - Café Lounge Florar. Projeto da CASACOR Bahia 2025. (Bia Nauiack/CASACOR)
Neto Cunha designed a space at CASACOR Bahia that combines a coffee shop and art gallery. The professional preserved original elements, such as frames and floors, respecting the memory of the construction while renewing its purpose. In addition to the powerful art curation, the project also draws attention due to the
contrasts in black and white, especially in the
tiles of the counter, which are part of the "bem-me-quer" collection, created by Monica Camargo for Studio Vetro.
