CASACOR Miami. The Conversation - Suchi Reddy. Exotic woods, metals, fabrics, resins and even garden hoses make up the design by Reddy Made Design. It surprises with visually appealing elements, such as the column at the entrance, with its kinetic covering that moves with the viewer, and the wallpaper. Strong, punctual colors evoke the tropics and highlight the furniture by Oscar Niemeyer, the Campana brothers and other great Latin American designers.

CASACOR São Paulo. Patrizia Genovese and Guilherme Longo - Restaurant. Greenery green, pale pink and their complementary tones command the retro aesthetic, combined with velvet upholstered furniture. To finish, colored glass and a wallpaper with a natural theme.

CASACOR São Paulo. Alessandra Castro - Boulangerie. References to Portuguese tiles meet French elements, such as toile de jouy wallpaper. On the ceiling, baffles – lining made of PET bottles, which form waves – absorb and soften sound, promoting acoustic comfort.

CASACOR Minas Gerais. Novo Mundo - The Art of Dressing in the 19th Century - João Lucas Pontes and Luis Gustavo Vieira. Wallpaper, precious chandeliers and classic furniture blend in with the wooden floor and the unlined ceiling. Thus, the contrast between luxury and simplicity symbolizes the cultural clash between Brazil and Europe in the 19th century. This is the period in which the soap opera Novo Mundo is set, whose costumes on display bring to light the habits and ways of dressing of that time.

CASACOR Perú. BATHROOMS - NICOLE ZELA. The wallpaper is the star of the show and brings back the safari theme that is part of the essence of the space. Its color scheme, with emphasis on gray, silver, gold and beige, is followed throughout the project in the men's bathroom. The lighting helps to harmonize all the elements and adds a modern touch.

CASACOR Pernambuco. Living Garden - Gisa Agra, Katya Veras and Marcela Salazar. The space has a sober minimalist style. This does not mean that it is devoid of beautiful design pieces, such as the Dora armchair by Jader Almeida, highlighted in cherry color, as well as the Ville and DW side tables, the classic Mocho bench, the DAAV chair, by the iconic Sérgio Rodrigues, all highlighted by the geometric wallpaper.

CASACOR São Paulo. Maurício Karam - Lofts Lounge. Modernist elements, classic touches and art deco geometrics come together in a space that is reminiscent of the lobby of a good hotel. On the walls, special wallpaper reproduces snake skin.

08/18 -

CASACOR Santa Catarina. Greenery Kitchen - Diego Viali and Mirian Rodrigues. The color of the year is celebrated in the 32 m² space, without falling into the obvious. It refers to sustainability, represented in the vertical garden, and gives a touch of freshness to the woodwork, with cabinets that include a damping system. Corian countertops reaffirm practicality.

JACKET Miami. A Study in Blue - Roye. Wood, concrete, linen, wool and leather warm the room and enrich it with textures, while wallpaper creates an optical illusion. An inviting place to enjoy the paintings of Jean-Paul Mallozzi and Julio Rondo. Technology is present in monitoring the quality of air, water and light, at the same time that lighting stimulates the body's rhythms to improve mood and energy.

CASACOR Miami A Tropical Urban Dreamland - Shim Projects + Genius Jones. More than a nursery for babies, this conceptual space was inspired by western views of Miami's sprawling cityscape. Wallpaper pushes creative boundaries and, together with animal-shaped furniture, offers a different point of view on everyday life.

CASACOR Ceará. Miyasaki Twins Suite - Ticiana Sanford. Inspired by Japan, the project features straight-line furniture. Almost all of the pieces were designed to grow with the children, such as cribs with crochet details that become beds and changing tables that become desks. Also note the aesthetic appeal of the pipes that interfere with the ceiling and walls.

JACKET Peru. WINTER GARDEN - LAURA TORRES AND MARGAUX EYSSETTE. The light enters a zenithal opening and the mirror floor enhances the effect, in addition to multiplying the wallpaper with an exuberant print. The result is a dreamlike atmosphere, between walking in the sky and in the jungle. The chaise is modern and, at the same time, refers to Peruvian artisanal roots.

CASACOR Rio de Janeiro. Cinema + Art - Bianca da Hora and Jacira Pinheiro. With the intention of awakening sensations, the professionals bring an environment that was designed in two areas: a concrete box that functions as an art gallery and a lounge with screens that interact with the visitor. On one side, the professionals applied a delicate wallpaper in "candy" tones and, on the opposite side, an adhesive paper that simulates a bookcase.

CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul. Baby Suite - Mariana Fogliato. A genderless and very Brazilian space, inspired by the modernist Tarsila do Amaral. On the ceiling, the 3cm skirting boards by Santaluzia, painted in green, reduce the scale of the ceiling height. Next to the crib, the wallpaper was punctuated with fiber optic lights. The Gisele rocking chair in cotton rope is by Aristeu Pires, who also designed the Tarsila coat rack.

CASACOR Miami Urbanitas Master Bedroom - Leo Shehtman. The urban suite emphasizes the differences: the landscape of the wallpaper has personality and contrasts with dark gray tiles, while the contemporary nature of the leather bed contrasts with the mid-century design of the furniture. The black and white rug is at the center of everything and reinforces the sobriety of the line and color scheme. The cosmopolitan atmosphere is completed by the great photographs by Raphael Macek, Gigi Monteiro and Vander Bersewish.

LEILA BITTENCOURT AND CRISTIANA SPINOLA-20
16/18 -

CASACOR Rio de Janeiro. Play House - Leila Bittencourt and Cristiana Spinola. The space features two small houses connected by the wires of a large "cat bed", work by artist Danielle Cukierman. Every corner of the environment presents a proposal for play. One wall is covered with building blocks. Others, for a blackboard to draw, geometric shapes to fit together. A colorful panel, made of lambe-lambe posters, tells a little about the history of Porto do Rio.

Baby's Room - Ginany and Bruna Gosson

CASACOR Rio Grande do Norte. Baby's Room - Ginany Gosson and Bruna Gosson. Several shapes attract the eye in the project, such as the chevron pattern of the wallpaper and the wooden flooring. The openwork partition is also a lesson in geometry and summarizes the color palette, with rosé and washed-out shades of green and blue.

CASACOR Bolivia. BEFORE YOU GREW UP - MARÍA EUGENIA MERCADO AND RODRIGO JIMÉNEZ. The furniture and colors in this room are designed for children between the ages of two and five. The bed, for example, is low and easily accessible. Walls are also part of the game, whether on paper with coloring pictures or on a pine climbing panel.

One thing that CASACOR environments have in common is that they are delimited by walls. Therefore, it is up to the professionals' creativity to take advantage of the wall space as an integral part of the decoration. One of the most commonly used resources for this is wallpaper. Geometric, figurative, black or colorful, they complement the project's message and help to create atmospheres. Check out the gallery of wallpapers that marked the CASACOR 2017 shows!
