CASA COR Minas 2015: The super Public Bathroom of the Minas Gerais show
1-BANHEIRO-PUBLICO Bruno Vianna, a debut architect at CASA COR Minas , managed to deconstruct the idea that a public bathroom needs to be a divided space, categorized and built to be just practical. 2-BANHEIRO-PUBLICO The professional, who designed the Public Bathroom for the exhibition, renewed the idea of the space by integrating it with a waiting room at the entrance. 3-BANHEIRO-PUBLICO The matte and rough floor contrasts with the smooth wall with a smoky texture, which contrasts with the tall wooden cabins with smooth and shiny finishes. Brazilianness, the theme of this year's exhibition, is present on the walls in large photographs that exalt the colonial history of Minas Gerais and value local artists.
In the space, there is no division between the women's and men's bathrooms, although some cabins have a structure with stools to assist, in most cases, women. 5-BANHEIRO-PUBLICO Sustainability also has a presence in the environment. Thermotelha sandwich tiles balance the temperature of the space, eliminating the need for air conditioners.
