1 – Understand what it is. Do you confuse a chandelier with a lamp? The two have similar functional characteristics, but they have more differences than similarities. Chandeliers are more sumptuous and have several points of light, while lamps are usually small, but not shy. Both have guaranteed space in the decor, but you need to choose the right environment to use each one. Architect Josy Brandstetter and interior designer Denis Rezende opted for pendant lights at Office da Escada , as the space is smaller and requires targeted lighting. Architect Milena Niemeyer chose a luxurious chandelier with domes to add even more refinement to the dining table. 
2 – Understand the ideal model. Nothing is more normal than being in doubt when choosing the ideal chandelier, after all, there are different types on the market. You can find something for every taste and purpose, some made of glass, crystal, fiber, metal and even plastic bottles. When making a decision, the factors that must be weighed are the resident's identity, taste and style, as well as suitability for the environment. On the balcony of CASA COR Goiás , interior designer Regina Amaral selected a piece made of copper wire with Czech crystals to decorate the environment filled with items inspired by the period of burning in the cerrado. The imposing and at the same time rustic chandelier ensured a pleasant and harmonious combination. 
3 – Put it in evidence. The watchword for the use of chandeliers is prominence. The recommendation to highlight it is so that it becomes the center of interest in the environments. At CASA COR Goiás , architect and urban planner Carine Rocha managed to give the necessary emphasis to the refined golden chandelier by placing it in the center of the space in which sober colors are predominant. Upon entering the place, all eyes turn to the piece. The intention is precisely this, after all the object is not normally responsible for the general lighting of a room, but rather functions as a complement to the decoration. 
4 – Ensure balance. As with everything related to architecture, balance is a determining factor when choosing a chandelier. But to ensure proportionality, boldness also has room, as architect Cláudia Zuppani did in the exhibition's Library . She opted for a round lamp with an elongated pendant, which made the chandelier at eye level. Therefore, if the piece attracts a lot of attention, the important thing is to combine it with discreet elements, neutral colors and elegant pieces and vice versa. 
6 – Harmonize. There is no point investing in a unique piece if the chosen object does not match the concept of the space's decorative design. It is necessary to decide whether what fits in the environment is a rustic, romantic, classic or glamorous chandelier, etc. A successful example was the choice of interior designer Meire Santos. To complete the decoration of Lounge 20...30... , which assimilates innovation, quality and beauty, the professional opted for a contemporary chandelier made of copper. The harmonious combination was beautiful to see. 
7 – Prioritize the proportion. If placed in compact environments, large chandeliers will make the space appear smaller than it really is. Likewise, if a small piece is chosen for a large room, it will go unnoticed. The secret is proportion. For the Study Room of the exhibition, measuring 21 m², the architects and urban planners Natália Maciel and Rachel Borges chose a discreet chandelier with a medium size that does not leave elegance aside with its 12 light points.
