Bruno Mars opens jazz bar with 70s-inspired décor

Artist Bruno Mars and design studio Yabu Pushelberg teamed up to create the interiors of a cocktail lounge and live music venue at the Bellagio casino in Las Vegas, USA. Called The Pinky Ring , the 465 ^m² lounge is accessible directly from the casino floor, but is designed as an entirely separate experience , away from the bright lights, hustle and bustle and noise. The bar serves a curated collection of cocktails and offers live entertainment by the city's best musicians and DJs – despite this, the house rule is no cell phones allowed inside. The entrance begins with a dimly lit mirrored passageway where Bruno Mars' Grammys collection is displayed. "Inspired by the museum's contemporary design, the hallway was designed as a calm, understated exhibition space where guests can cleanse their visual palette and begin to submerge themselves in The Pinky Ring ," says the design team.

A giant halo-shaped chandelier with layers of sparkling crystal hangs from the ceiling, providing a focal point that can be seen from every corner. Golden curtains run from floor to ceiling across the entire back wall and are reflected in more mirrors on the ceiling. Off the main hall are several alcoves and VIP areas offering additional seating , some lined with dark wood paneling. The organic space is lined with mirrored panels that create endless reflections and features a banquette that surrounds a large table equipped with a giant ice bucket for drinks.
