Interior designer
Sophia Abraham brings a playful and colorful dive into the depths of the sea to
CASACOR Rio 2024. This is the proposal of the
Toy Library Sea of Tomorrow , which occupied an area of 120 m² with varied activities and games for children.
According to the professional, the inspiration for the theme came from the desire to create a space where children can
explore their imagination and learn about the importance of
environmental preservation . "We created a
utopian ocean , where humanity and nature coexist in perfect harmony, without any trace of pollution or environmental destruction, in a celebration of marine life," says Sophia.
The
toy library was divided into sectors according to the activities, in a route that begins in the
library , with a giant book to provide a tactile and learning experience, in addition to having 300 books provided by the publisher Leiturinha, which will be donated at the end of the exhibition. Next, a
stage welcomes the guests, with children's characters and storytellers, in addition to having an interactive LED screen; then, an acrylic dome simulates an air bubble, creating a fun
Instagrammable space , followed by a fun
ball pit . "This is where the access to the shark house is: a
suspended horizontal net , where children can jump, rest and have fun in the company of many species of plush sharks," reveals Sophia.
Wooden
toys , climbing frames and
mirrors that distort the image, alongside creations personally made by the designer, such as a coral-shaped sculpture for children to put on their shoes and giant plush tentacles, to give the impression of an octopus trapped in the mezzanine, complete the fun. "Our goal is to educate children to
value and care for our planet , showing that it is possible to live in harmony with nature through sustainable attitudes", says the designer, highlighting that endangered species will also be among the figures portrayed in a
playful way in her environment. "Our space not only exalts the beauty of the marine world, but is also a reminder that
the future of the planet depends on the actions we take today ", she believes.
