Support bars are one of the most important solutions when the objective is to make the bathroom safe and accessible. They increase stability and provide support during daily movements, such as sitting, standing, or entering the shower. To work well, they need to be installed at strategic points, especially next to the toilet, inside the shower, and near the countertop. The choice between fixed, articulated, vertical, or horizontal models depends on the user profile and available space, but all serve to bring confidence to the projects.

Among all the elements that make a bathroom safe and accessible, flooring is perhaps the most determining factor. Surfaces with non-slip texture prevent slips even when wet and are now available in aesthetically sophisticated versions that can dialogue with different decorative proposals. The application can be done only in the shower, in the dry area, or throughout the projects, according to each project's needs.
Thinking of a safe and accessible bathroom also involves taking care of the lighting. A well-lit projects avoids shadows that distort perception and improves spatial reading. The combination of general light and directed points creates a balanced and functional atmosphere. Recessed lighting ensures uniform distribution, while LED strips under the mirror or shelves offer softness. For nighttime circulation, presence sensors contribute to a more practical and safe routine.

Ergonomics is essential for daily comfort. In a safe and accessible bathroom, the height of the fixtures and fittings must favor intuitive use. Higher toilets help those with reduced mobility, wall-mounted sinks facilitate reach, and single-lever faucets make gestures lighter. These adjustments contribute to a smoother routine without requiring excessive effort.
The type of shower enclosure directly affects the usability of the projects. For a safe bathroom, hinged doors open access and allow full opening in emergencies – unlike sliding doors that can jam! Curtains are also an efficient option in small spaces and offer flexibility of movement, making the projects more accessible to different user profiles.

A simple yet decisive detail is the use of rugs with non-slip backing. They prevent the fabric from sliding when exiting the shower and protect areas more susceptible to water accumulation. The sense of security increases, especially when the material is applied in front of the sink, at the shower exit, or near the countertop.
Organization is also part of constructing a safe bathroom. Niches and shelves installed at a comfortable height prevent the user from needing to stretch or bend down during the shower. When products are always within reach, movement becomes more natural, and the risk of slips decreases. Additionally, these elements contribute to a cleaner and more functional aesthetic.

Circulation is an essential component of an accessible project. A safe bathroom values doors with wider openings, which facilitate the transit of wheelchairs, walking aids, or simply make the projects more fluid. Openings starting from 80 centimeters already ensure efficient performance, and lever-style door handles make usage simpler for all ages.
