Versatile by nature, tiles can surpass their traditional role of covering floors and walls. In the CASACOR SP 2025 projects, these and other coatings gain new meanings by appearing in furniture, structural details, and even decorative objects. Below are some inspirations on how these materials can be used beyond the obvious!

Tabletop

One of the highlights of Paula Neder's projects in CASACOR SP 2025 is the huge table in shades of pink, red, and white. While the legs are made of light wood, the tabletop draws attention with its abstract tiles. The design of the piece is by Coletivo Muda, a group known for its artistic interventions using tiles in public spaces.

Side Table

MAJ Arquitetura - Cabana do Parque. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. (Denilson Machado, do MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)

Minimalist, the side table made of mosaics makes a big difference in the studio designed by MAJ Arquitetura. The object was placed next to the bathtub to support bath items – being a creative (and durable!) option for those looking to innovate in decor.

Tile Countertop

The project by Studio Roca at CASACOR SP 2025 is full of unconventional interventions, one of which is the tile countertop. The bathroom piece replicates the black and white tiles used on the floor, bringing unity and modernity to the projects.

Tiles on the Ceiling

Paola Ribeiro - Studio Verso. CASACOR São Paulo 2025 Project.

Architect Paola Ribeiro innovated in her use of coatings in the bathroom in her Estúdio Verso project. A detail that made a difference was the reproduction of the same ceramic mosaic on the floor and ceiling – creating a mirroring effect. Furthermore, the sink counter covered with mosaics also demonstrates creativity.

Sustainable Mosaic

Those who divert their eyes from the stained glass of Fichberg Arquitetura e Interiores' bathroom to look at the floor will encounter an impressive mosaic floor. The project demonstrates the power of upcycling by reusing porcelain pieces that would be discarded. It features figures of tropical fruits, such as cacao, açaí, and cashew. It is also worth mentioning the authorial tiles on the walls.

Brick Crown Molding

Finally, architect Dado Castello Branco included a row of bricks between the woodwork and the ceiling of the bar, filled with patterned wallpaper. The crown molding detail demonstrates sophistication and can be adapted to various styles of projects.
