The balcony with a view of the treetops is just one of the uses of the social area of this
241 m² apartment designed by the
Sabugosa Arquitetura office – from the
CASACOR SP 2024 cast – in São Paulo: there is also a
living and conversation area with a wooden bench , bookshelf and side table with four seats,
a TV room with a curved slatted panel ,
a dining room with a buffet and space for a bar , as well as a table with a soapstone top and chairs in a delicate shade of green.
The project, designed for a newlywed couple planning a baby, aimed to create an
elegant and timeless home , with spaces for moments together, without losing sight of the future growth of the family and socializing with friends.
Touches of black in the accessories and lighting, gray in the floor, a burnt cement ceiling and warm-toned freijó wood panels characterize the entire apartment. The
entrance hall is made of a
freijó wood box with a perforated brise-soleil , which guarantees privacy for the living
room without losing integration – bollards between each slat create indirect lighting, complemented by the wood-covered wall light. The ceiling hides the air conditioning unit.
"We expanded the entire social area by demolishing the old
kitchen , creating a completely integrated living room and balcony space, with multiple uses. For the interior design, we focused on national design with touches of soft colors and personality", says the office.
Another structural change was to modify the four original
bedrooms to prioritize the creation of a large, comfortable suite for the couple with a walk-in closet, as well as a bedroom for the baby and an office with support from a guest bathroom.
Following the design line, the kitchen received gray brick cladding on the walls and wood in freijó and black tones on the panels, as well as countertops with curved details and blue cabinets.
The bathrooms feature 3D coverings in the shower area, wood and black metals.
The guest bathroom surprises with a countertop hand-carved in rustic granite.
