#REFÚGIO VEREDAS_CINEX - Denise Zuba Studio. The vereda is a type of plant formation found in the Brazilian Cerrado and was the inspiration for this environment. Images by the Brazilian photographer Bento Viana evoke the landscapes of the backlands and the natural vegetation takes over the areas, highlighting the large century-old olive tree and installations by André Lafetá and Arcangelo Ianelli.

Sebrae Store - Julyanne Alves and Aline Ferreira. The Handmade Space is organized into islands of interest, and features personalized lighting and furniture that prioritizes comfort, exemplified by original armchairs from the 1950s and 1960s and other pieces of national design. The color palette is brown and trees make up the landscape of the cerrado present.

Amazônia Vivá – Só reparas and MAAI – Arquitetos Associados. The goal of this environment is to recreate the sensory experience of the Amazon rainforest in an architectural project. To achieve this, the team of professionals uses different air humidity, bird and leaf sounds, typical plants and textures on the walls and ceiling. The landscaping is by Depieri Paisagismo.

Concrete Annex - Carpaneda & Nasr Arquitetos Associados. This space was designed to be a place of worship for life, with an emphasis on functionality. The professionals used window-like features to integrate the interior with the exterior. Concrete, wood and stone create a blend of urban and natural environments.

Tree Balcony - Carolina Nathair. A tree in the space is the main attraction of this space. Through the combination of delicate and natural objects, together with a manually laid floor forming an original design, the professional fills the Balcony with light and calm and inviting textures.

Garden of Sensations - Fábio Camargo. The work Le Jardin de Plaisir, by Frenchman Andre Mollet, dedicated to Queen Christina of Sweden in the 17th century was the inspiration for the landscaper to create the Garden of Sensations. There, in addition to being able to contemplate the splendor of the trees, visitors can explore the sustainability resources applied to the materials.

Olive Garden - Depieri Landscaping. LED lighting highlights the texture and lightness of the leaves of the trees in the garden. The species include elephant's foot, butiás, date palms and aloe thraskii, all of which are adapted to drier climates and are therefore more sustainable.

Concrete Poetry - Studio Arch+. The inspiration for this space was the poem “Das Pedras”, by Cora Coralina. Composed of a living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, the artistic highlight is a tree painting that adorns one of the walls.

Jardim Cor de Cerrado - Gustavo Gall and Érica Cabral. Fifteen native species and two ornamental species make up the flora of this environment. To bring nature closer to the urban and industrial, a tree made of corten steel and root panels unites the styles.

Nature is everywhere at CASACOR Brasília 2018. Inspired by the 2018 theme,The Living House , professionals saw an opportunity to bring greenery from the outside in, as an integral part of architectural projects or decoration. With creativity, trees – the most symbolic elements of nature – took on different shapes, colors and interpretations, whether planted, in photographs or in the form of sculptures.
