CASACOR Arena: meet some speakers at Sustainability Week!

One of the highlights of Arena CASACOR will be the Transforma Brasil platform, which not only promotes volunteering, but also allows volunteers and NGOs to meet. During the lectures, the need for technology and sustainability to go hand in hand will be discussed, in order to transform the planet from within our homes. Of the nine weeks of lectures that will be part of the event, Transforma Brasil will be the main attraction during Sustainability Week , from August 4 to 7. The themes will be addressed in four different, yet complementary, areas: architecture, art, design and sustainability. Meet some more of the speakers: Juliana Camargo In operation since 2010, AMPARA Animal was born when founders Juliana Camargo and Marcele Becker came together out of love and respect for animals. Managing the largest adoption program in the country, “Adotar é Tudo de Bom” (Adoption is Everything Good), and developing major campaigns such as “Somos todos Vira-Latas” (We Are All Mutts), the organization is responsible for demystifying prejudices and clarifying preconceptions, changing the way people view the animal cause.

Mara Mourão Director, screenwriter and producer of feature films, TV series and documentaries, Mara Mourão uses cinema as a tool for social impact. Her latest films include "Doutores da Alegria" and "Quem se Importa", and she has also written and produced two other feature films, including "Avassaladoras", and directed four TV series. He worked in advertising for over 10 years, directing over 200 commercials, some of which won awards at the New York and Cannes film festivals. He also made short films, one of which won an award at the 11th Tokyo International Video Festival. Mariana Serra Mariana Serra is the creator and co-founder of Volunteer Vacations . With a degree in International Relations, she has worked as a volunteer since she was young and has worked on social and humanitarian projects in Haiti, India, Thailand, Costa Rica, USA, Brazil, Tanzania, Kenya, Jamaica, Indonesia, Ghana, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Nicaragua and worked in refugee camps in the Middle East, Lebanon and Jordan. Passionate about traveling, she has lived in New Zealand and Tahiti, where she intensified her involvement with humanitarian actions. She is also co-author of the book "Jovens Empreendedores, Líderes do Brasil que Dá Certo". In 2016, Mariana was included in Forbes magazine's "30 under 30" list as one of the most promising young women in Brazil under 30 years old. Fernando Teles Founded by Fernando Teles, Ecolar promotes the construction of ecological houses at a minimal cost. Aimed at the lower-income population, the houses use recycled and sustainable materials as raw materials. The houses are 20, 30 and 40 square meters in size and are the product of more than 1 million recycled packages. Ecolar created low-cost modular homes as a solution, offering agility in assembly, durability, safety, in addition to a positive environmental impact.
