The view of São Conrado beach, in Rio de Janeiro, is just one of the attractions of this 280 m² apartment designed by architect
Bianca da Hora , from the
Da Hora Arquitetura office:
as the couple of residents collect works of art and designer furniture, The apartment was designed to enhance these pieces, creating a gallery inside the house. (Juliano Colodeti, do MCA Estúdio/CASACOR)
“They wanted a gallery-like apartment, but one that was also welcoming. And a space to display the many design objects, some related to the world of fashion, collected on trips around the world,” says the architect.

The living room - with an incredible 100 m² - is the star of the project: the footage is the result of the demolition of one of the bedrooms, which helped to further expand the social area. The walls that were kept were lined with
carpentry panels , sometimes with a finish in natural wood or painted white, making the spaces more welcoming and suitable for displaying and enhancing works of art.

Numerous creations by
Sergio Rodrigues are scattered throughout the rooms: Lucio dining chairs, Sonia, Mocho and Magrini stools,
Benjamin, Mole and Paraty armchairs . There are also pieces by
Etel Carmona (22 armchairs),
Jean Gillion (Jangada armchair),
Jorge Zalszupin (Capri bench),
Jader Almeida (Legg and Jardim tables, Nutt pendant
lights )...

The lighting project, full of indirect lights, was designed to enhance the clean-lined carpentry, designed by the architect herself. The decor follows a color palette where white, black and gray predominate, always associated with natural
wood . to create an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and cosmopolitan.

“With attention to detail and a breathtaking view, this project reflects the Rio de Janeiro style of living, but with sophistication. The many objects give the house its soul and, in everyday life, rescue the residents’ emotional memories,” he says. Bianca.
