Home is synonymous with
warmth and comfort , and it was guided by this feeling that the studio of architect
Sidney Quintela decided to transform this
300 m² apartment into a true temple of welcome for its residents.
The apartment located in Salvador, Bahia, was designed to meet the needs of a young couple with two children who were looking for a
spacious and elegant apartment, with plenty of space available to receive friends and family .
With such generous footage available for the project, creating a
spacious environment was not that challenging. The architect quickly
got rid of the walls that separated the kitchen from the social areas and also integrated the balcony – both into the kitchen and into the
living room and master suite .
This decision helped a lot with the
passage of air, circulation and also bringing more natural light to the project , making the Bahia sun an ally in the decoration of the space.
To connect residents to nature, the architect introduced
natural stones, such as marble, and the prominence of wood , which brought greater freshness and sophistication.
The apartment is full of
Brazilian elements that are in keeping with the residents' tastes, such as the Bank dining table and the Mush lamps, designed by
Jader Almeida . The Omar chairs are by designer Rejane Carvalho Leite, and the unforgettable
Poltrona Mole by
Sérgio Rodrigues is also worth mentioning.
The couple also used their collection of
artwork and photography in the new project, such as the painting in the hall by photographer
Kiolo , brought from the couple's old apartment, which welcomes guests.
In the living room, a brass cloud by artist
Mário Cravo complements the colorful canvas by artist
Adrianne Gallinari . Other contemporary artists such as
Patrícia Palmeira and
Diogo Mianda adorn the walls of this apartment.
