270 m² apartment features a more vibrant classic style than ever
Invited to renovate the home of this family, made up of a couple and two young children, interior designer Marina Liberman transformed the entire social area, bathroom and master suite of this 270 m² apartment, located in the Jardins neighborhood of São Paulo.

The residents wanted to preserve the classic style , but the idea was to renew the atmosphere and make it more cozy and comfortable. According to Marina, the highlight of the project was “making the clients happy, who already had practically all the furniture loose in the new space , but implementing a new look for everything that was used.”

The designer explains that the project follows a classic concept with a twist : "it is a style of decoration that combines traditional and timeless elements with contemporary and unexpected touches".

The mix of colors and textures is a signature feature of the designer, who used shades of blue as a guiding thread for the composition of all the spaces, including the bedroom. The choice of color contributed to bringing more calm to the space, and highlighted the classic elements.

Instead of replacing the family's furniture present at the site, Marina prioritized restructuring the furniture to reduce costs, preserve emotional memories and bring more sustainability to the project.

“We reupholstered the sofas, applied a new lacquer to the sideboard, which also received new doors, and changed the fabrics on the benches and armchairs,” explains the designer. To help bring modernity, Marina relied on carpentry as an ally , as well as natural elements such as straw and freijó wood that helped create a more cheerful and welcoming look .

“The dining room bookshelf, home theater and bar furniture were designed to create a light, timeless atmosphere full of personality and creativity, making [the apartment] truly unique and captivating,” he concludes.
