Overlooking one of Rio de Janeiro's most iconic landscapes, this apartment in Botafogo has undergone a transformation to welcome new residents after being closed for five years. Located in a building designed by architect Sérgio Bernardes, the apartment blends part of its original identity with modern elements that reflect the personality of the owners, a couple with two children.

The living room, in total, has 55 m² and is framed by Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain and Botafogo Bay, making it the residents' favorite spot. From the dining room, residents can admire Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain.

The home's connection with these tourist attractions was the inspiration for the choice of coverings and fabrics. Responsible for the project, architect Ana Cano Milman defines the living room as a contemporary space that makes the most of art. The professional is part of the CASACOR Rio de Janeiro team. January .
“The residents wanted the base of the house to be completely neutral and for the colors to come through in the artwork and furniture details, so that they would bring joy to the house,” says the professional. One of the pieces that adds a relaxed feel to the space, the buffet was in the couple's old home and was given a beautiful shade of blue, which led to the rest of the color palette used in the room. Paintings by artist Claudia Ferraz bring even more life to the space.

In addition to this piece of furniture, the dining table has been with the couple since the beginning of their marriage and was revamped to suit the décor. On the other hand, the wooden details add just the right amount of elegance to the space, allowing for a balance with the casual atmosphere of the composition.

In the living room, the mix of textures gives the project a unique feel. The home wall is covered in burnt cement, while the leather sofa and ottoman give the room a more rustic feel. The low furniture was arranged so as not to get in the way. external view.
