This 331 m² duplex penthouse in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, has an unusual layout:
the entire upper floor is dedicated to the private area of the resident , a 49-year-old businesswoman who dreamed of having a private space, with as few walls as possible and connection with the outside area.

Architect Adriana Esteves then created a circular plan in the 151 m² space, consisting of a
bedroom, living room, closet, bathroom, gourmet space and outdoor area with swimming pool .

The layout also allowed for some conveniences, such as the direct connection between the bathroom and the outdoor area, with access to the shower. “When the doors are fully retracted, it gives the impression of a single space,” adds Adriana.

On the lower floor, there is the son's suite, the social area and the kitchen, guaranteeing total privacy to the resident.
