Cozy, relaxed, youthful and, at the same time, sophisticated . This is the new apartment designed by Cacau Ribeiro , located in the Jardins neighborhood, which was designed for two brothers who left their parents' house in the interior of São Paulo and came to live in to the capital of São Paulo to study .
The designer's idea was to bring the feel of a New York loft to the 200m2 apartment, but without being too industrial. The living room was covered in gray bricks and decorated with renowned design pieces , such as the chandelier. by Ingo Maurer and the Vivi armchair, by Sergio Rodrigues .
The large round mirror made the space feel youthful , giving the apartment a sense of spaciousness . The parquet floor was reused, and the apartment's conventional doors were transformed into panel doors - an interesting option for those looking to make the space modern , spacious and elegant .
"I really like using and mixing colors, but I try not to use primary colors, I always go for those with a more muted tone," says Cacau Ribeiro. "I believe that this is one of the most difficult parts of the project: being able to mix colors colors with balance ”.
During the day, the apartment is lit by large windows , which are typical of the buildings in the neighborhood. At dusk, track lighting with directional spotlights illuminates the entire living room, providing a subtle industrial touch .
The swinging door , restaurant style, gave lightness and visibility between the living room and the kitchen, which had all its carpentry used. “All these cabinets were already there , what we did was lacquer the furniture in this shade of blue and put this coating on retro, a bit 60s, which made the kitchen super charming”, reveals the designer.
The bedrooms followed a neutral base , bringing a soft touch of color in the details. The bathroom gained custom carpentry , but, like the kitchen, it also had some pieces reused , such as the tiles and the flooring.
